Formatting question: I should know this, but I don't -- the show makes it appear that the entire makeover occurs in one day. Arrive at subject's house in the morning, throw his crap everywhere, race out of the house, go get a haircut, buy new clothes, get new furniture, fix up the house, go home, make dinner for the lady, go out on the town in the new duds, end of day.

Ed & Elaine & co. -- something tells me they shoot this over three days or so. Care to share?

Ok, so it appears that I will not be home to watch this tonight. Does anyone know the schedule for when this thing will be re-airing later in the week?

I think it's pretty clear that it's not just one day. The gay guys do their thing one day, but then they go back to some posh viewing room, drink white wine, and watch and critique their Cinderella as he goes through all the steps they laid out for prior to some 4 way gay sex after the straight one leaves.

That's not what I'm talking about. Obviously the Fab Five are watching a tape of the evening's events after they left. But ostensibly in the story of the show, those things happened the same night of the day they made him over.

Any answers, E & E?

This episode included 5 days of shooting with us involved. I suspect there was an additional day where the Fab Five watched from "the loft."

Carson, in this article says that the average is 3 days. He's sneaky, though, and could be bluffing.

Go to www.bravotv.com and click on schedule. That will give you the times of all the re-runs and there are quite a few.

Interesting -- so are you moved out of the house and into a hotel for 5 days while the place is being refurnished/repainted, etc.?

Basically yes, though they did the house stuff in a day and a half... Sunday evening to Tuesday afternoon. They put me up at a hotel for three nights, and Elaine stayed at her condo.
