This assumes the newbie knows how to play.

Deposit $100 at Pacific Poker and start at 5/10 cents.

If and when you make a profit move up a level.

It will take a long time to clear the bonus but by that time you should have a clue.

When I started I deposited $100 in pokeroom and was busted in 2 or 3 days at $1/2 limit.

That pissed me off so I looked around and found the 5/10 cent game and Ken Warren's book.

After a few weeks I decided I was good enough for HEPFAP.

The cryptoLogic skins at $1/2 lim1t are not that good anymore.

The money on these site is to be made at PLO and Heads-up Holdem.

The micro-limits at PP are just a tad tighter than your average play money game. Playing for money there is not even worth it. Your best bet if your concerned about your skill is to play the .50/1.00 games. Theres no ante and there are a smattering of ppl who have some form of starting hand requirements. Just my opinion.

Nfinity.
You need to work on your game and book-up in the strategy forums.

You WANT players who don't have a clue about good starting-hands at your table.
You WANT players who are only barely tighter than play-money players.

The tone of your post seems to indicate that you prefer to avoid these types of players/tables. you are costing yourself money if this is your attitude.

The strategy forums (specifically, the micro-limit forum) would be a good place to study for further info on stuff like this.

LOL

I didn't want my tone to sound as if I don't like the fishes, I do.

But having 80% of a table follow you down to the river is not a good learning experience for bigger limit play. The reason I compared it to the play money tables is that, at the micro-limits, the players have no regards to the money, and will value-bet any hand and cap the betting. This is just my exp. from the very little amount of time I spent at PP micro-limits. I have played extensively in the .50/1.00 games and have managed to build up a roll large enough to sit comfortably at the 1-2$ limit, which I have found to be pretty much the same as the .50/1.00. So the .50/1.00 was a good learning experience, the micro-limits, waste of my time.

[ QUOTE ]
Does anyone know anything about the 90/90 bonus offered at Interpoker? I played about 480-500 hands and the 90 bucks showed up in my acct, but I can't withdraw it or play with it. Is there a time hold on it, or for some reason did my hands not count? And if my hands didn't count, can I play the rest of them and collect the bonus this month, or is it forever lost and I have to deposit another 90 and play another 450?

Just curious if anyone knows how this all works.

[/ QUOTE ]

Can anyone speak to this? I'm concerned now.

you need 450 raked hands, by playing only marginally more actual hands than that you have probably not played enough RAKED hands. The bonus can only be withdrawn once you have cleared 450 raked hands. Until then it does indeed show up in your account but with your withdrawal limit being less than your actual limit. Just keep playing util it clears - it will clear, I would imagine (depending on the limit and quality of games your playing, higher the limit or looser the game the higher a percentage of hands will be raked) that you should be clear safely within another 100 or so hands.

interpoker needs to send you your PIN through snail mail first before you can make any withdrawals. it's been almost 2 weeks and i still haven't received mine, but once i get it i'll start whoring the cryto network.

been through building my bankroll, and still in the process of doing it, i think you're missing a very valuable resource. the prima network.

royal vegas, 7 sultans, a lot of the skins on their network will give any new player 10 dollars free. so it's actually possible to build a bankroll from literally nothing. the 0.05/0.10 NL ring games are definitely beatable. it took me about 3 weeks to turn that 10 bucks into 120. unfortunately that's when i started to play omaha hi...lowest limits were 0.10/0.20, double of what i was used to. higher limits, playing scared, new game...all the sharks destroyed me. i lost 40 bucks in no time...which was 33% of my bankroll. i proceeded to try and win it back in holdem, but being all tilted up i ended up losing everything. i lost everything in 2 days, and it took me 3 weeks to build it.

at that point i was just said screw it, i actually have money to deposit! got the 40% on 100 from royal vegas. unfortunately only 25 from empire...didn't have enough, didn't know about GRANNY for paradise, so lost another 25 in bonus there...but now i have enough to get the max at every site.

i think the most important thing when you're building your bankroll is to be patient. also i don't think you should play to break even. you should actually try to win!

Mine went the same as it always does. I finished my 450 hands on the 22nd, and the $90 that was unavailable for withdrawal was then available.

If you're not able to finish the 450 during the month, it will carry over. If you make another deposit, your bonus is now $180 but you have to play the rest of the old 450 plus the new 450 before withdrawing any of it. I've done that twice in the past and it worked just as smoothly as when you clear it all in one month.
