Once Rios steals second, is pitching to Thomas even a good idea? Don't you have to walk Thomas there? Of course, 5.5 games makes me happy, so I am not complaining, but it seems like a bad move by Torre to not put Thomas on and have a double play in order.

You can walk Thomas, who'll probably get pinchran for, and have to face Stairs with 0 out. I guess a DP could get on the way to out of the jam, but Stairs is running good lately anyway

But like someone else said, the division is a real long shot either way and Yanks/Sox will be a great ALCS.
