I'm not making excuses for Gagne. However, a bunch of those pitches in the AB against Thomas certainly could have been called strikes. Lester had a few, too. Burnett has been getting everything close.

[/ QUOTE ] I thought so too, to be honest... esp that 3-1 pitch to zaun in the 8th. definetly thought that was a strike, but zaun and the ump seemed to think not immediately
