Congrats on everything, really. i) You said you felt real sick for the first 3 days and it was the worst week of your life--the next few days/weeks after this; was it A LOT easier and more manageable? How long did it take before your sickness without heroin wasn't a complete hell? ii) I'm in Toronto and not to long ago a clinic was opened where you can legally come in and shoot up under supervision. What do you think of this? It's meant to deter users and supply safe needles and prevent OD'ing. Would you have gone to a clinic like this? I'm interested in hearing anything you have to say on this really. Thanks [/ QUOTE ] i) It basically wasn't hell after the first week. I still felt sore and couldn't sleep well, but it was 100x better than I had felt a few days before. ii) I think that's kind of stupid, and no, I wouldn't go to one. In VA you can buy needles in pharmacies for like 2.19 a pack, which takes care of the safe needles part. As for preventing OD, it helps to not do it alone. But seriously I can't imagine actually going to a clinic every time I wanted to get high. |

How are you adjusting to society? Did you guys have poker tournaments in the joint? 1 pack of cigs buy in? [/ QUOTE ] No poker tournaments. I doubt half the people in there would even know what that means. We played poker though... 7 card stud, draw poker, and some weird and stupid prison variations. I didn't really have to adjust to society. I felt the same once I got out that I did before I went away. |
