[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Well, the pace has slowed dramatically, players are getting eliminated only about once in three minutes now. [/ QUOTE ] It does remind me of last year. Then, I kept calculating the average M of the field and saying "anytime now play is going to slow down". Yet, the average M kept going up and the play never slowed down. This should continue until at least the final 27. [/ QUOTE ] Over/under on what % of the remaining players can define "M"? [/ QUOTE ] under 30% |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Isaac Haxton Wins A Huge Pot With nearly a half million in the pot already and the board reading 96A89 Haxton made a 250,000 bet and Robin Bergren called. He turned over KK which was 2nd best to Haxton's A2 . That pot pushed Haxton up to 1,400,000. [/ QUOTE ] I'm trying to figure out who played the river worse... [/ QUOTE ] That's a really dumb statement without evening knowing the previous action [/ QUOTE ] Right I mean I'm sure Isaac was value betting and realized how obv it was that the dude had a big pair and was scared by the ace. Remember that he is a cash game pro used to value betting spots like this and not some dorky tourney donk who is just happy to show it down when he hits an A with Ax. James |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Tuna Lund out in 319th ($39,445) [/ QUOTE ] bummer [/ QUOTE ] I lost a lot of respect for Lund earlier this year. We were both railing a SnG sat for the Bay101 Shooting Star and he totally cracked some kid for playing a hand poorly and sucking out on one of his buddies. [/ QUOTE ] well, i didn't want Tuna to WIN, just to get really tantalizingly close...(again) |

Remember that he is a cash game pro used to value betting spots like this and not some dorky tourney donk who is just happy to show it down when he hits an A with Ax. James [/ QUOTE ] According to cardrunners.com here's how the action in that hand went down. There was a big pot between two CR members. A bet in middle postion and a smooth call on the button from Robin Bergen. Isaac Haxton raised to 215k in the big blind which was folded by mid position and smooth called by Robin. The flop was 9,6,A - check, check. Turn was 8, three hearts - check, check. On river 4, Isaac led out for 250k, Robin agonized and eventually made the call. Robin turned over K's and Isaac raked the pot with A,2 no hearts. That pushed Isaac well over a million and Robin down to 300k. |
