OK, I had to wait until you mentioned Robert Horry before it was remotely appropriate to make sure Robert Parish's name appeared somewhere in this thread.

Best Big Men to Ever Play the Game and Smoke a Ton of Doobie:

1. Kareem
2. Shaq
3. Robert Parish
4. ?????
5. Profit!

td,

I'm not sure I agree that a single blocked shot has the most effect on a game (maybe a blocked dunk/layup specifically), but I agree with the part about a shot blocker's impact. I was kind of just typing as thoughts came in my head on that one. Blocking ability is a key reason Duncan, Sheed, Camby, etc are such effective defenders. And it's not like Wallace is a slouch when it comes to shot blocking, and on top of that he's awesome at preventing strong post position.

I know championships don't a great player make, but if I were Wilt I'd be at least a little embarrassed that for all my super human dominance I only walked away with two rings.

Wait wait wait.... your saying Russell>Shaq AAAhahahahha

[/ QUOTE ]

Absolutely. If you want to LOL, look at your rating of Shaq > Wilt.

Shaq underacheived for most of his career - Russell did whatever it took to win championships. Ever hear Russell's former teammates, coaches or opponent's refer to him as lazy?

[/ QUOTE ]
Shaq was/is def an underachiever but he and Wilt are the best ever.

so it only applies if they were the best player on the team...
