At our 2/4 limit O8 game, there was this old dude who looked like sklansky. I think he peed his pants from seeing us blind cap and stuff.

The funniest thing was the asian lady to my left, she was like:

"He is EXPERT Omaha player!"
Me: "Then why is he playing 2/4?"
Her: "Well sometimes he plays 4/8!"

And kingdan looks younger obv.

He was smart enough, however, to not be the typical old man that you see at turning stone bitching.

He asked me before the game started, why are we all sitting with so much money? I replied, "because we're a bunch of internet poker nerds with money to throw around". he seemed to enjoy the answer =)

at a certain point we made it a requirement to table your cards of a particular suit face up and play on, and it didn't take long for mr. sklansky to join in. i was quite happy to, for once, not get a game interrupted by some ass local, but rather get a really cool older guy.

and i think between dan and caucasian adam, adam wins by like a hair. maybe because shortstacking the 40k NL game when one is a life nit makes one slightly older.

There is a blind raise to 20, blind reraise to 30, blind raise to 60, once the cards are dealt crazy station guy looks at one card and makes it like 170? I cold call with A9o in LP, I don't think there are any more callers, and it folds around to one of the blinds or blind raisers who pushes in for 1200 ish or something. I am calling fairly quickly here if it folds to me I think. (KingDan on 2+2 I'm pretty sure I heard him or someone else say) Anyway, it folds to the guy who looked at one card, he moves in for 1400 ish. I agonize and fold after some thought, mostly because I had barely any more cash and I really wanted to stay in action, also considering that KingDan might push here with a real hand making it look like a gigantic squeeze, and the other guy could have a hand I guess. I was ready to gamble but I was short on funds. If theres another 2k in my pocket I call probably. Anyway, KingDan tables 56o and the other guy shows Q9o and I take a walk around the poker room. I return to see 56 scoop the pot with a pair of 5s, and this result makes me somewhat happy though I still in some way wish I called.

Basically I love overlay/dead money etc (donkaments FTW) and this was too awesome to pass up.

It was pretty obv what I was doing but I had the impression everyone was essentially a huge pussy. I don't need to take it down all that often for this to be +ev but looking back I doubt its happening.

I'm very inexperienced live obv so I definitely had a few ugly spots where I would just spewed due to 20hand/hour tilt.
