Don't look for the Governor to sign this bill. If this gets passed (which it will), it will be because it passes into law ("W/O") "Without" the signature of the Governor.

Question is: come Midnight Friday or this Saturday when this bill quietly passes into law ("W/O"), are the Seminoles going to get a head start and spread NL cash games before July 1, 2007???

For those of you who want an inside scoop into what's going on in a room that's about to open, then here you go. I'm going to be employed at the Tampa Greyhound Track which has three competing card rooms surrounding it. We're going to be open year around and I can honestly say it's going to be the best card room of the bunch. Here are some of the things we're going to offer:
3/6 limit as a staple game. 6/12 limit as the biggest game 2-5 spread limit 7 card stud 3/5 omaha hi/lo 2/3 no limit hold'em with 100 min/max buyin. If you get to $50 chips you can add another 100 on at any time. The hold'em games will use yellow $3 chips (against our blue felts), the omaha game will have both yellow and red birds in play, and the stud game will be primarily whites. Opening day for our card room is going to be Sunday July 1st. Starting at noon there will be a $120 multi-table tournament that will have $5,000 in starting chips and 30 minute blind levels. Try to find that anywhere in the state, I dare you. Single table tournaments will range from $40-$500 with structures directly related to the buyin. We have a 75/150 level that most places skip as well. All of this is good for the players. Our boss was a player for the longest time and he really knows how to treat you right. Our staff is also going to be the best in the entire state hands down and I'm very confident that every one of you that goes there will return. We're also going to have jackpots as many people have pointed out. Our Bad Beat Jackpot will start at $25,000 and we'll have several other promotions. No limit cash game will be a timed rake game. Every 30 minutes will cost you $6, if you guys don't like that I'm sorry. The dealers will certainly get more hands in at a timed rake game so no matter how tight you play, you gotta deal with it. We're also going to have several other amazing features such as lock boxes for our players. Several specifics on other things are still being worked out so I can't give too many more details, but if you don't know about this room yet you're really going to miss out. Let me know if you have any questions, thanks for reading guys |

also will any of these other casinos nearby offer spread limit $1-5 or $2-5 holdem also if ur cardroom wont. if i did end up playing holdem would much rather play spread limit than FIXED LIMIT. much easier to beat spread limit games. particularly if they had $2-10 which i know they wont.

How would that work? Is your room going to change its hours of operation? Have you or anyone interacted with other cardrooms around the state and shared ideas? Lastly, time charge = |

the only way they can legally do 3-6 and 6-12 is if they do a 100 buy in no-limit and the players agree to keep all betting as if its 3-6 and 6-12. with 100 buy-in it would be pretty faggy as all florida poker is right now. i think someone mentioned this in another florida thread or earlier in this one.
