In another post you followed up on the AQ/AK ($16's) limping debate where op had position. You said it was OK to do this oop, but what percentage would you consider limping AK at the $16s and oop? OP in other thread said he limps 50% of the time and did this on the button, seem like there should be a law against that.

[/ QUOTE ]

Limping AK or AQ on the button in L1 and L2 isn't that bad.
I would limp both AK and AQ oop pretty close to 100% of the time.

Do you mean limp from the blinds or limp from EP when you say oop?

Both.
Also just out of curiosity where do you go to HS? Assuming you go to HS in Toronto.

Suppose hypothetically that someone wanted to follow a strategy of only pushing or folding preflop for the entire SNG. Assuming someone followed such a strategy perfectly (making perfect reads of calling ranges, etc.), at what buyin level do you think it would stop being profitable and good postflop play/smaller preflop raises would be necessary? From experience (not that I always play this way ...) I know that it is possible to make money in the 16's doing this.

I was gonna go to Harbord, but I ended up going to a pretty small school that's connected to Western Tech called UFA. It's in the high park area. Where did you go?

So you rarely raise UTG with AK early in a SNG?

If they could perfectly assign pushing and calling ranges and act accordingly I think they could be winners at the $114s.

I have some ideas of why you do this, but I'm curious what the actual reasons are.

Btw what was crescent like? I know it's a rich private school unless I remember incorrectly. I've always wondered what a school like this is like compared to a normal public school.

Chip preservation. You have to fold to a 3-bet a lot of times.
C-betting OOP sucks. You are shallow enough that building a pot isn't that important
