About the reputation thing:
Even if he decides to refund OP now, his future potential clients have already read this and that can't be undone. They'll see the moral/ethical side of the discussion, reach to their own conclusions and look for another coach. But, I think refunding the $450 is still the right thing to do and can end this discussion. I just can't see how keeping the $450 is profitable for snowbank long term. |

freelancer, i can draw my own conclusions.
in this case these conclusions are based on snowbank's own reply, which completely missed the point. i suspect that even snowbank's supporters, who may not like the way this has been aired or discussed, would still think he is making a mistake in not refunding the money. it's a decency thing. the fact that op is so obviously naive and unsuited for the game he wanted to be coached for, only makes snowbank's decision worse. |

[/ QUOTE ] Your basically repeating what everybody else has been saying, forming your own opinion you say? I'd say its herd mentality, although you probably don't even realize it yourself... This is not a personal attack btw, I've got nothing against you in fact I don't even KNOW you. But your reply was the perfect example... |

You sound like a junkie looking for a fix. You lost all your money and now you need a refund to expense your losses. You made an agreement and you should have stuck to it.

2p2 does have significant 'herd mentality' (just like all large groups of people) but this thread in no way proves this. The facts are pretty clear (even according to Snowbank) and many people who have had personal dealings with Snowbank and think that he is a good guy still think that he should have refunded the money. This thread does prove that you're an idiot, though.

"What a perfect example of herd mentality... "
"A bunch of novices post there thoughts about the concept, a regular posts something radically different and suddenly everyone is singing the regular's song." "Your basically repeating what everybody else has been saying, forming your own opinion you say? I'd say its herd mentality, although you probably don't even realize it yourself..." These quotes all show that you are not smart enough to make distinctions between dissimilar things. |
