bet flop > c/r flop > c/f flop > c/c flop

I guess. I mean, that would be standard, but I wasn't feeling a cont bet. I think any pocket pair peels once there, and I didn't expect hardly any unpaired cards to be in his range. So it didn't seem like there's much of anything he would fold; at least not for one barrel. I was intending to check-fold, but when he bet that ridiculous $50, everything changed.

My spider sense said he was weak, and not trying to suck me in with a monster. But a CR will look like total BS, because that bet so obviously induces it. On the other hand, a call looks stronger and will probably buy me two cards if I wanted, thus I'm almost priced in. (I wasn't check-calling $80.) I still reserve the option of making a move on a later street, which seems more believable. (I think I'd be more likely to donk a non-diamond turn, than a diamond one; I don't want 8d8x to look me up. And that $50 could be him trying to buy himself a cheap river with a flush draw.)

Then when I hit, my plan changed again.

I keep seeing you guys post these "overbet one pair to represent a bluff" moves, so I thought I would try it:

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $3/$6
5 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $600
CO: $418.15
Button: $1156.75
SB: $698.60
Hero: $744.80

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">CO raises to $20</font>, 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $63</font>, CO calls $43 <font color="aaaaaa">(pot was $80)</font>.

Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($129, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">CO bets $50</font>, Hero calls $50 <font color="aaaaaa">(pot was $179)</font>.

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($229, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks.

River: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($229, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero is all-in $631.8</font>, <font color="#cc0000">CO calls all-in $305.15</font>.
Uncalled bets: $326.65 returned to Hero.

Results:
Final pot: $839.3
<font color="#0">CO showed 8s 8d</font>
<font color="#0">Hero showed Kh Ah</font>

You guys are a bad influence!

[/ QUOTE ]

I believe it's better known as the "play every street as bad as you can" play.
