The two statements are unrelated.

The first, regarding the bluff, is what Gordon thinks Yang has.

The second is from the point of view of Alex. Knowing that Yang has called pretty much every all-in when he had money already in the pot, Alex should assume he is going to get called. Therefore, Alex must have a really good hand.
