[ QUOTE ]
Really you guys who say you'd just shoot someone dead are insane, do you really want to live your life knowing you killed someone, to me that's the most hideous thing you could do other than rape or child molestation. Killing another human would be an impossibility for me. [/ QUOTE ] Would you really want to live your life if that dude was a real piece of work and had killed someone at the party, when you could have done something about it? When someone threatens to use deadly force like that it's fair game to kill them instantly IMO. |

Killing another human would be an impossibility for me. [/ QUOTE ] Every gun owner living within 50 miles of Memphis Tennessee has has 'happy' dreams of offing a punk in exactly the fashion that happened here. This guy is feeling the same remorse that someone that hit the last second buzzer shot feels for crushing the dreams of the other team. It looks a lot like 'Yeah!!! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT'. fwiw, if someone pulls a gun in my house, he isn't 'robbing' me - he's attempting murder and needs to be stopped. |

[ QUOTE ]
What do I do when I get robbed (happened twice so far)? Either I give them whatever money I have on me or I run. No, I didn't wish I had a gun on me so I could kill them. [/ QUOTE ] That's all well and good, but what happens the one time that the robber for some reason decides he'd rather not leave any witnesses? This is why I'd try to get a permit to carry a gun if I lived in the US. I'd hope to never have to use it, and there's many situations where it would be unwise to do so, but at some point there may not be any other choice. I'd probably just try to co-operate if the guy had just burst in and told everyone to get down, but when he takes a hostage that elevates the situation to a whole new level. |

[ QUOTE ]
If I knew that someone had a gun at a party, I'd leave that second. But then again, I live in Europe, where the "pansy ratio" is apparently high. [/ QUOTE ] Maybe you should stop assuming that everybody owns a gun is violent/wants to kill people/gangsta and that perhaps they might want it due to the high number of sick [censored] out there who also have guns. I live in the UK and I really wish they hadn't made guns illegal here. |

Just read that.
I'm European. I don't like to kill people. I don't like guns. But if I had a gun in that situation and I would see that one of my guests is at gunpoint I might blow the robber's head off. Without giving a warning first, of course. It's something you have to decide in a split second. Once you pull out your gun, there should be no fxcking around with it. Even in good old Germany you would get away with killing the guy in that scenario (provided you are allowed to carry a gun). No way it would be murder |

Some of you are stupid as hell for thinking the guy was in the wrong. The robber was supposedly willing to kill for some money or whatever. He is scum. He gave the robber a chance, but instead he mouthed off, so his pathetic life was ended.

Jesus Christ; the non-American pussies in this thread remind me why I am still proud to be American.

When I worked at a restaurant we got robbed one night. I was on the ground, on my knees with my face to the ground, with a gun pointed at the back of my head. I was shaking thinking I could die right here and now at 19 years old. There's a line you don't cross, and that line is physically threatening to take someone's life because you need money or whatever. You cross that line and all bets are off. He crossed the line, he died. He deserved it. I doubt it was his first time and I doubt it would be his last.
