Well I'm sort of new around here and don't know grim or the supposed thief but I do think it's interesting that the guy starts the thread and then doesn't post in it again even with the explosion of activity that it generated.

I have it on very good authority that this entire thing is fake and Grim likes attention. Who knew?

You are like the worst troll ever - go back to making bad strategy posts.

If he's playing at Commerce or The Bike or in Vegas, someone will spot him. If he dirtied a guy's name to be an attention whore, that's just ridiculous.

btw, shove the rivero kills

i give it a 99%, only thing keeping it from 100% is the misspelling of sklansky - even that is kind of endearing from a bbv perspective

I think the best thing for Grim to do is to talk to the guy's family. Tell them that he could get in a lot of trouble for this and to return whatever amount he hasn't spent and if the difference isn't huge then it will be forgotten. You never know what a phone call from mom or dad can do, even to an adult with a large sum involved.

FWIW a legitimate collection agency will charge around 25-30% (from personal experience). Getting a real professional to track him down and who will not keep all of the money would probably cost more, I'm assuming. It definitely wouldn't be my first course of action.

We are not talking about a 5k car accident settlement. A retainer fee + 30% on a sum this big would motivate the most aggressive of PIs. Of course, I'd make sure it is someone with a reputation to protect so they have added incentive to be on the level. Frankly, if I was grimstarr, I'd probably find someone older and more respectable to even retain the PI and think long and hard about how much info to give about the source of the money. Sad as it is, Grim and his situation has "rob me" written all over it.

I wouldn't talk to his family, I'd have a larger, older, armed and very savvy individiaul do it for me. Have you seen pictures of grimstarr?
