Also heres where your story really doesn't make sense ok Doug how does someone who uses stolen credit cards get 8k onto your site to dump to me? I looked on your site and your deposit limits at $600 per day. So why don't you also explain to me how that person got 8k onto the site to dump to me.

[/ QUOTE ] It took me under 5 minutes to call and have my deposit limits raised to 5k/day because I said I played 2/4 and needed at least 10 buyins on the site to 4 table. |

[ QUOTE ] Has there ever been a well known poster with a similar problem? [/ QUOTE ] Actually there was a post just a couple of weeks ago where FTP froze a guy's account. I believe he had $25,000 in it. After he posted on here and made it public and FTPDoug looked into it, it turned out to be he was innocent. So yes, it has happened, and very recently. That said, I think FTP is legit here, however, I still don't see why they would hesitate posting a hand history for verification. [/ QUOTE ] That last incident ended with this answer from FTP: [ QUOTE ] Hello Igor, At this time, we have reopened your account and you should be able to play on Full Tilt Poker once again. Also, as mentioned numerous times in our previous correspondences, we plead with you that you please do NOT share your laptop or other computers with any other players. Likewise, please refrain from logging into Full Tilt Poker on another player's computer, as your account could become closed again due to an association to fraudulent activity that may have occurred on that computer. Please understand these measures are here to ensure the security of our players and their funds by halting any potentially fraudulent activity. Also, we do not arbitrarily close player's accounts without due cause or reason. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know. Thank you for playing at Full Tilt Poker. I have not done any of that scince my account has been reopened. Well I guess I will give them 1 more try. [/ QUOTE ] |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] This thread is infuriates me to no end. ... Now, everyone who threatened to withhold their business from FTP, how does it feel to be a shill for some 18 year old con artist? [/ QUOTE ] I think you missed the major point that some of us have made. Whether or not eric is a scammer, FTP's policies are quite unfair for all of us, on a number of levels - and what's worse, there's no independent review. Even companies with higher integrity and better support (Stars, and even Party) have been on the wrong side of disputes. By protecting the rights of the guilty, we also ensure the protection of the wrongfully accused. [/ QUOTE ] If you took the time to read their 'terms and conditions' that you are required to agree to before signing up for an account, you would see they have exactly the right to do what they did. If you don't like the terms, then don't agree and don't play online poker. The terms are basically the same at every site I've signed up to play. [/ QUOTE ] I totally agree with you - I do read the T&C, I make my best assessment of corporate stability and ethics, and I consider the avenues for recourse if something goes wrong. Unfortunately, in online gambling, all the T&Cs are player-unfriendly - that's the unregulated, wild-west world we play in. So consumers need to look to the other areas. Party is a public company, operating under regulations with some teeth, with a solid track record of doing the right thing. Stars is a company who clearly values their customers, supports them in many ways, and generally treats them with respect. WPEX is looking good in that regard, also, but I want to see more. From where I sit, FTP looks to be a solid cut below those guys. I'm not saying I'd be afraid to play a small amount of cash there, but I wouldn't make a large deposit. So I largely agree with you, but we differ in that I'm not really content with the choices that we have. I'm a consumer who wants better choices; FTP could decide to become one of them. Just because the T&C gives them the right to treat customers poorly doesn't mean that they should. In fact, I think it makes better business sense to treat customers with respect. |

[/ QUOTE ] That is a good question that I wouldn't mind hearing an answer to from FTP. Keep talking eric. Slow down, relax and try to think of a rebuttal for everything in Doug's recent post. Including everything you remember about running $600 to $14k. Because I'm not buying that you don't remember one single detail from that night. |

Didn't ask about credit cards...Calling them was easy, when I tried to deposit, the rejection screen came up for going over the limit. The number was there in a large font. |
