Lee Kort Eliminated 22nd ($494,797)
Jamie Gold raises from the button to $200,000 and Lee Kort calls from the big blind. The flop comes the Jdiamond7diamond4diamond and Kort pushes all in. Gold calls with the AspadeJclub while Kort flips over the QdiamondJheart. The turn brings the 5club and the river is the Jspade giving each player trip jacks but Gold's ace kicker plays. Lee Kort is eliminated in 22nd place.

The rapid pace of eliminations over the past 3-4 days has been mind boggling and it just continues.

They've been playing like an hour and a half and they are almost done for the day....

I keep thinking "ok, the short stacks and maniacs are out now, things will slow up" but they keep proving me wrong.

It's going to slow up. The stacks are all pretty deep and we are approaching a bubble.

No matter how Gold got the chip lead on day 4/5 he has played it very well, probably also due to the money not being as important to him as others. He is looking VERY hard to stop at the moment.

Trying to find how the betting went on Rizen's hand, and I found this update on another site, cardplayer is the nuts compared to this

Eric Lynch has been eliminated from contention. He moved all-in with pocket tens and got a call from Jamie "The Killer" Gold with A-6. The board came 9-9-8-Q-Q, and with the queen on the river giving Gold two-pair with an Ace kicker, Lynch heads to the rail in 24th place with $494,797 - the best payday for a 24th place finish he'll ever see. Gold, meanwhile, is aiming squarely at the final table. His chip stack sits at $17,000,000.

[/ QUOTE ]

That seems a far more likely way for a player of Rizen's caliber to get busted.

[/ QUOTE ]

Except for the fact that he would have won the hand if it went as described there.

[/ QUOTE ]

um.. Gold would have QQ10109
Rizen would have QQ99A

Or am I missing something?

I wouldn't count on that. The stacks have been pretty deep for awhile, and most of these guys have been playing like this is a $5 turbo SNG.
