Israeli troops subdue key Hizballah tunnel fortress of Maroun er Ras opposite Avivim and Safed in three days of fierce ground combat... Hizballah losses were heavy.

Israeli airstrikes hit communications tower, disrupting TV and phone services, a Lebanese government official says. Some reports seem to indicate there was reason to believe Hassan Nasrallah was in the area.

Latest reports estimate 1,000 Israeli troops in Lebanon, with 5,000 massed at the border, and additional tanks rolling in.

I haven't been able to bring up any stories on this. But if Syrian pilots are in their cockpits, they better stay there or Israel will wipe them from the skies quickly as they have down in previous engagements as their equipment and dogfighting abilities are subpar compared to that of the IAF.

Any Arab country that tried to duke it out with IAF would lose so incredibly fast that it probably wouldnt even be noticed by the world media. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
