Ridiculously awful first period for Buffalo. Lucky to only be down by 1. Hopefully Lindy will tear them a new one during the intermission and they'll come out skating.

Alright I am starting to get sick of this officiating.... Neil is absolutely mugging guys out there for the past 2.5 games and no calls.... lots of interference by ottawa.... stupid penalty by JP though

Yeah I've said that the last 2 games - it's ridiculous. OTOH we might be better of "declining" future penalties the way our power play has looked.

Much better period for Buffalo, for once leading in shots on goal 16-2. These two teams really make for a great matchup.

These refs suck..... how can you call diving after the play is whistled dead?

Even though they lost, Sabres actually played one of the better games of the series this game. They were way better than they were in game 1 and game 2 and maybe game 3. Emery made some clutch stops and two flukey goals got in past Miller. Oh well.

....some of the calls and non calls made me think we were in Ottawa....

....and can Afinogenov please dear god finish up a spectular play with a goal for christs sake...

GambleGamble PM'd me for a prediction before the game and I wouldn't bite. No more predictions for me - plus as a Devils fan, I'm a little bitter at the playoffs in general.

Ottawa played a solid game tonight, but this kind of play won't win them 4 straight. Regardless I'm still happy that this might be a series again - if my team's going to get killed, I at least want to see some good hockey.

Also, thanks to McGahee for making this thread a pain in the ass to read.

Another thing - man do those Sabres fans cry at every perceived penalty. The only crowd worse I can think of is Detroit. I think the game was officiated in Ottawa's favor but damn - any Sabre went down in any way and they were booing.
