[ QUOTE ] TWP, In Rolen's defense, these other options you mention involve g2's friends and therefore if there's a bias there, it's against Rolen. I think that the info and witnesses make it very likely that he had a +10k session, but if I were Rolen, I would definitely not accept the word of g2 or his friends to settle this bet and that's a perfectly reasonable stance for him to take. [/ QUOTE ] Obviously. It would also be personally reasonable for him to trust that three people would not blatantly lie about what they saw. [/ QUOTE ] TWP, You're not serious, right? Sorry if that sounds patronizing. Look, I railed for a little bit, I believe he was up over 10k. Grando railed for longer, thought he was down about 30k. And because we don't have bias, we're actually MORE reliable than his friends. Would you base the outcome on this bet on grando's casual observation? And yes, of course they would lie, however inadvertently, to help him save face. If he went out of his way to make a 'bigger balla?' post and his boys went out of their way to agree, this kind of [censored] is obviously a big deal to them. This isn't a bad thing or a knock on g2cu, it's just the way i'm seeing it. |

These people were not railing the game. They were sitting with him, watching him play. If they came on here and all posted that they were watching personally and personally saw that his end bankroll was 10K higher than his start bankroll then in order for me not to win the bet they would all have to be completely lying. Similarly, if they came on and said they watched and that they saw that he was actually down 30K at the end of it, the only way I would not lose the bet is if they were all completely lying. I dont think they would all completely lie.

i don't think this can be settled with mere testimony. it would be unfair to both parties (and bbv).
we need to see some more datamined numbers, they will speak for themselves. |

I think we already have the "preponderance of evidence" idea lurking from earlier. I hinted at a vote to settle this- but it should be for less stakes if its gonna be a popularity contest.
I think it should be for chickens and flour. This bet isnt going anywhere. It was a great ride though. g2cu should ship you both complimentary tshirts for the free publicity. You can then donate them to charity. Children in third world countries may get a little enjoyment from life with a shipit shirt. |

obv i don't have them or i would've gladly put them up.
another problem with testimony of ppl apparently sweating g2cu is that they may have approximate ideas of how much he won. this would be ok normally but with with only a $250 margin for error there approximates could easily be over/under this mark (ie. g2cu b/r at start of session $157678. at end $167123. it would be very easy to equate this to a 10k profit, where it's actually ~9.5k) there should be no element of doubt involved imo. |

I wouldnt be opposed to lowering the bet to, say, $100 and allowing, say, 24 hours for BBV to vote on the winner of the bet (or tie would be an option) if we cannot find reliable HHs.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree w/this. I don't doubt ElD's impartiality but both me and TWP can make assertions based on the data we have that fully support our views. It would be decided on ElD's view of G2CU's character + willingness to lie to look good. Too arbitrary as I don't believe these two know each other outside of a message board. We need numbers baby. NUMBERS! |

[/ QUOTE ] Heh, ok, let's give this bet another day, maybe a dataminer will turn up. If not, we'll present both our arguments in one thread and let BBV decide for $100 |
