[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Aren't the blinds 20/40K? 2 million PF with 66? WTF? [/ QUOTE ] The way the action has gone, you shouldn't be shocked. [/ QUOTE ] I hate to take burst you railbirds' balloons, but if AK raised from late position and 66 pushed on a resteal, the play is not that unreasonable. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah if the guy only had a few hundy more and he was closing the action I understand it. If he actually had 2M chips at risk, then it's awful. Too hard to tell from the recap. |

The board comes A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], giving Kim three Aces to beat Jain's two Kings. Lowell Doubles up to $2,050,000 this hand. ______________________________ Rob Berryman Eliminated in 33rd place ($389,865) David Einhorn raises to $160,000 in middle position. The flop comes Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and Berryman checks. Einhorn bets $400,000 and Thorsson raises to $1,300,000. Berryman check raises all-in for another $1,020,000 and Einhorn calls all-in for his last $930,000. Thorsson makes the call. Thorsson shows K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Einhorn shows A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and Berryman shows 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. The turn and river come A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and Einhorn makes a full house to triples up to $8,000,000. Jain bets $210,000 and Butler says, "I'll pay you off," before calling. He shows Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and Jain turns over 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] . [ QUOTE ] With regards to chips -- and this is mere speculation -- but I assume, for branding purposes, ESPN/Harrah's may have an interest in keeping the chip denominations small so that when the event hits TV, the players are constantly pushing monster stacks around at the FT, even if it takes more time and is annoying for the dealers and players alike. [/ QUOTE ] What about the all in chip? This is the time its actually usefull... [/ QUOTE ] I thought Harrah's said they 'ran out' of those. When I played on 1D, we never received one of the 'all-in' buttons. The dealer at my first table said that they had 'run out of them', whatever that means. Are they back in play? |

All For Charity
David Einhorn has just told Cardplayer.com that he has pledged all of his tournament winnings for the Main Event to charity. Einhorn has decided to give whatever he makes in this tournament directly to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Disease. Well that's awesome of him. Very Greenstein-like! |
