I'm writing this to you, but it most definitely goes out to many others, some of whom I've sent PMs.

What the fukk is your problem that you continue to pile on her after she's left? You are a mod on this site. Your standards should be so much higher than this. Continuing to take shots at someone who is no longer posting, especially considering that constant sniping like this is a big part of (not all of ) why Ed Miller left the forums, should be particularly embarassing to you. Mat should be asking himself if you deserve to be a mod.

Those of you that continue to pile on and take shots: why, other than an apparently chronic bout of immaturity? Elaine made a choice to leave the forums, that should be the end of it. I guaran-fukking-tee that none of you in real life would continue taking shots at the mans fukking WIFE in front of his face like this. You are all pussies of the highest degree. Arguing with her in OOT is one thing when she's there debating and defending herself. But the attacks continued once she's gone are way way out of line. He's really not. I've watched this trainwreck unfold. Was Elaine an annoying poster? There's certainly an argument that she was. So she got kicked out of OOT.

She wrote a response to getting kicked out of OOT. It was a bit immature IMO. So what?

In response, one of the lamest threads I've seen thus far erupts (this incident has caused around three 150-200+ reply threads, and they're all relatively boring). It's full of nasty and harsh commentary directed at Elaine. Now I don't care if my wife is annoying other people, but if I'm Ed, I'm not quitting 2+2. I'm using my admin powers to find out where a couple people live (most notably Tony Paladino) and bringing a baseball bat.

This seems like an odd interpretation of her posts. "Malicious" speaks to intent, and I don't buy that. She argued with vigor, and at times made some trollish statements, but I don't really buy that you could terms that malicious at all.

Yes, the intent of [censored] exiling people is to make people think twice about making bad posts in OOT. However, frankly I don't think that's the reason why OOT voted to excile Elaine. To me it was a lot me to do with her being female, vocal, and often in disagrement with the forums. She got nuked for being different (and in part because people like Tony P. couldn't deal with those differences without flying off the wall) and that sucks.

I agree with Clark that piling on after she's left just isn't constructive. If you want to be happy she's gone, that's fine. Posting just to post it though, seems weak sauce (although I can't agree with JBB losing his modship, I can understand Clark's passion given what I assume is a close friendwhip with Ed and Elaine).

Heh, that's not a bad idea. If I were Ed, I'd probably ban about 50 posters on this board for constantly attacking my wife, and when they say, "you're on a power trip you jerkoff for using your admin powers!" I'd respond with something like, "guess what, life ain't fair, punk."
