Okay so while i was taking a shower this morning I had some thought about the green line on pokerev and I didn't really want to make a post on it since this is probably one of those things that only makes sense to me right now.
When I table select I look for your standard big stationy fish or overaggro spewtards. These guys are probably where I get most of my winnings from. Given that I'm winning >%50 of my money from them, and given their style of play, I don't see how I can be a big winner without showdown because both of their styles force you to go to showdown a lot. The overaggro spewtard will often bet you out of a pot while the station will take it to the river everytime. For example last night there was some 70/40 idiot, probably one of the best fish ive seen in a while. He would never fold and often bet 2 times pot etc etc and basically any pot I won against him was when I got three streets of value out of top pair or something. Bluffing him never really worked out too well. So what I'm asking is, could the green line be partially determined by how well one table selects? Edit: and could good table selection lower ones green line is what I'm getting at. |
