whyzze, i think what both netstorm and i were trying to say was that you can't get your 'true' winrate over a certain number, say 100k, of hands, albeit in much different ways.

and i disagree that if one has a winrate that remains stagnant, that he should give up the hobby. if you maintain 5-7ptbb/100 at 50nl over 100k hands while the games are continuously evolving (a point that i think you overlooked), i'd say you're doing a pretty decent job at that limit. yeah, most guys will move up before 100k...but some people need a rather stress-free, robotic approach to this game in order to cope with the everyday variance we all face.

[/ QUOTE ]

100k is nowhere near enough to get the info, I agree with you there. Which adds to my point. That if you run at 5-7ptbb/100 for enough hands to get your rate at 50nl your roll would be so huge that your ROR at 50nl is almost impossible.

BUT. If you run at say .25bb/100 over enough hands there is a sign that you cant get any better and should try a different hobby...like knitting.

SSDEX and gelford come to mind. These two guys have been raping uNL / SSNL for 100's of K's of hands

[/ QUOTE ]

Of course there are exceptions. But moving up is something these guys are incredibly capable of and they are making good money where they are at. If they are happy then its all good...and imo, i doubt they have stopped improving.

I wish I didn't play like a [censored] 2 months ago @ SSNL and I'll still be there , though I have got rid of my tilt problem by moving down - I saw shizzle whining in SSNL all the time and didn't want to get like - no offence you're prob a decnt player but you do seem to whine more than the local abbatoir

- although not 8 tabling when I get back on a decnt upswing and double volume I'm moving up asap too NL newb.

Edit: BTW most regs here that play alot of uNL and some SSNL but mostly NL50 are either bankroll nits or have to cashout to pay for stuff cus like me they're RL income doesn't provide for

I have almost 200k hands now..

Guess I'm gonna play uNL for awhile again.. been pulling my hair out with omaha. My first day back.. stuck 200 in 15 minutes lol.. ended up winning though, for my first 2k hand session anyway.
