Because my stance toward Party is such that I would be as happy taking a dollar from them and burning it as I would be putting it in my own pocket. I would love to profit at Party's expense, but seeing them punished for their greed, incompetence, arbitrariness, and profligacy would be just as satisfying.

If you don't know PartyPoker, here's a nice article about them http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/bizf...26/2003260850/

Who should be punished, the corrupt billionares or the poker whiz-kids who made a mistake they were practically invited into? Party Gaming gives online gambling a bad name, just as their prior operation gives phone sex a bad name. And if there's two things dear to my heart, it's gambling and phone sex.

I'm at 2, but its the only 2 I've put on ignore in my over 2600 posts. SunofBeach is indeed one of them.

The article is from the NY Times News Service. It's from Kurt Eichenwald, who spearheaded the Times' coverage of Enron. I recommend his book about it. Here's a bit from his bio:

Mr. Eichenwald was a 1996 winner of the George Polk Award for his articles about deficiencies in the American system of dialysis care. In 1998, he won a Polk Award again for a series of articles about allegations of corruption at the nation's largest private hospital chain, the Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation. That same year, he was selected for The Times's prestigious Senior Writer program. In 2000, he was finalist for a Pulitzer Prize for a series of articles about how business interests were influencing the system for medical clinical trials.

Feeling pwned yet?

I don't know whats with all the disappointment in Lee's statement on their confiscation policy. I for one was very happy to hear that I go and cheat on pokerstars without having to worry about losing any additional money of my own. Freerollin it baby! In the past I didn't cheat because I didn't know the exact consequences. Now though, I got those horses working over time as we speak, thanks stars!

Not a free one. The article is in English--this will become apparent if you click on the link. It's how we roll on the interweb.
