LeBron/VC would be in a fist fight before the 1st quarter was over. Idk why but I kinda like the Nets for some reason. I mean Kidd is one of my favorite players ever and I personally like VC. But I even like Mikki Moore and Bostjan Nachbar (sp?) and I hate overhyped roleplayers and euros even more. On a side note again, I absolutely hate Okur, he's garbage. The fact that he made the AS team this year disgusts me, can we get some decent centers plz?

The Cavs were the ones who softened up the 64 win Piston team, I'm not sure why people say they have NO chance against this 53 win version.

Yeah, but they played so half-assed in that series its ridiculous. I don't see them overlooking the Cavs again. CWebb wants a ring, I don't see him letting the team half ass again. Also, are you really tuq's gimmick?

I really hope the Nets can steal this game tonight. Watching Big Z, Gooden, Hughes, and Pavlovic makes me want to gouge me eyes out. Hopefully the Cavs don't advance.

Do you think either team play with the Pistons right now?

the Nets make it a hell of a lot better series than the Lebrons would. This is a playoff hardened team with a hall of famer and 2 other all stars. The haven't had the best of seasons, but the potential is there to do some serious damage (even potentially in the NBA finals).

OTOH Cleveland is, well like i said before, the worst 2 seed in NBA history. Wilt Chamberlain on viagra couldn't get this team past the 2nd round.

Is there any way we can get a seperate thread per playoff series? I understand you don't want multiple threads per game, but this thread has become very difficult to navigate through, and I think the NBA playoffs warrants more than one thread. Thanks.

1. I thought the Bulls were one of the real championship contenders? YOU GUYS LIED TO ME!!!

2. teamdonkey and barryc83- Are you aware that the Nets won 41 games this year? Four-One. I know everyone but me had a meeting where they decided the Cavs only won like 43 games this year, but are we now pretending the Nets are a good team? The Piston might beat the Nets in 3, at least Cleveland would get the series back to Detroit.

Also, how can anyone hate Sasha Pavlovic? From his ridiculous white dude athleticism to his Eddie Munster hairline to his fantastic Drago impersonation he's easily my favorite player in the league.

Finally, just a tip for assorted individuals in this thread: THE HOME TEAM WINS ALL THE GODDAMN TIME. Coming into the second round it seemed like a lot of people in this thread(and, to be fair, in the mainstream media) were seriously considering a Bulls-Nets ECF to be a reasonable outcome.

I didn't say that the Nets would beat the Cavs, I just said that I like the Nets better than the Cavs. Tell Pavlovic to actually play D instead of fall down away from the hoop every time RJ and/or VC tries to make a move to the hoop and I'll respect him more. Yes the Cavs won more regulars season games, that doesn't mean anything now, see DAL/GS. This series and even game 1 came down to rebounding. Also, idk about the stat sheet, but Larry Hughes played pretty damn well IMO and made a couple big shots. I like the Nets' players better than the Cavs', therefore I'm rooting for them. Also, both of these teams most likely get boomed out by DET.
