Okay shaniac, then let me ask you the question I asked exitonly twice, and which he won't answer. He said that it is not his place to turn in cheaters he knows. He said that it is the online poker companies fault for not having safer software. So since this is just about different perspectives and not morals:

My buddy breaks into your house and steals your stuff while I watch him do it from outside. According to you, I'm not in the wrong for not doing anything about it. Your problem is with the lock companies for not making strong locks. You would not be upset at me in the slightest or expect me to do anything to stop him, right?

Does that about sum up your view? After all, it's not my duty to police thieves right?

[/ QUOTE ]

You manage to thoroughly skewer what I'm trying to say, and it seems like you are just another BLUFFTHIS-type knee-jerk reactionary.

But since you seem to understand little about loyalty, I will clue you into this much: If you did come along with your buddy to my house to steal from me, it would indeed be very wrong to turn him in for it.

[/ QUOTE ]

wtf? You know me or something? How can you say anything about what I know about loyalty? IF you did know me, you wouldn't be saying crap like that. But I surround myself with good people who deserve someone being loyal to them. What I don't do is pick some people as friends, and then regardless of how [censored] they are as people, stay loyal to them no matter what out of some twisted notion of 'brotherhood'.

The rest of your post speaks for itself. I couldn't make you look more messed up if I tried.

Good day, sir.

Shaniac, I can't believe you really think this is true.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think what he may be saying is why did you go along with your buddy to rob a house just to turn him in at the last second, instead of trying to convince him that it was wrong to begin with.

Comparing robbery, to this, is simply not a valid analogy.

I have known cheaters in high school, and I did not turn them in. I guess I'm a bad person.

If he read my post correctly, I never said I went along. I said I was standing outside watching him do this.

My hats off to you Meow. Question - If ZeeJustin started naming names and others started getting caught because of it would anyone feel any differently towards him?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, that'd be pretty much the only thing capable of further tarnishing his reputation, at least to me.

[/ QUOTE ]

Personally, I would see it as the start of his redemption.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's because you have morals.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, it's because we have different perspectives. Or must there be a right and wrong?

Fwiw, I never looked down on Meowed for doing this, but I know that policing internet cheats is not my duty either.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nor is it my duty. I am not searching out for cheats. The idiots expose themselves as in JJProdigy and to a lesser extent ZeeJustin. But I do have a duty as an online poker player, to bring this to everyone's attention once I receive that email from Party.

[/ QUOTE ]

Meowed, you have your agenda, and I'm certainly not going to be the one to question it. What you did is certainly "good" for online poker on the whole.

Also, can you clarify something for me please? I was under the impresion that you helped to launch the ivestigation personally, but I may be wrong. If not, on what basis did you receive the email?

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't help launch either investigation into JJ or ZJ. What I did help with was sifting through all the info that was out here already and email them the proper links to those pages. I guess they felt compelled to let me know that my work helped strengthened their case against them and that they were in fact guilty of multi-accounting.

Sitting in 6 seats on a multi is nowhere near breaking in your house. If the kid dumped chips to himself, softplayed himself, or shared cards I don't care if you shoot him. If he did none of the above it makes all these "he owes money!!!" post a bit redonkulous.

[/ QUOTE ]

It seems pretty damned likely that he did this at well, when he ended up sitting at the same table as himself. You actually believe that "I opened more SNG's to compensate" line?

this would be AWESOME

I believe then he would have exactly zero poker friends, as opposed to the 5 or 6 he probably still has now.

So did they contact you after they had launched an investigation? Why you? I think a full trip report on this whole thing would satisfy a lot of people's curiosity.

Justin has never put multiple accounts in a STT. I really don't even think it makes much sense to do that...

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not following your logic. Please explain why it doesnt make sence (from an ev standpoint) to be playing 2 seats at the same STT

[/ QUOTE ]

I've never really thought the whole thing through because I wouldn't consider doing it, but it would seem like the payout structure would make multiple accounts fairly useless in comparison to their benefit in a MTT. There's only such much space to fit the accounts into the money and a limited reward. I don't really know for sure, but at first glance it doesn't seem like a high reward situation. Multiple accounts at a cash game table seems like a much better idea if your goal is to cheat.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's like buying options to hedge stocks...you don't maximize your profits, but you have a better chance to lock in some kind of profit.
