Default Re: I am losing 3bb/100 at 10NL!

Today I wanted to brush up my limit skills. Since I played it for so long, I don't want to lose it completely. Then the 6max-FL-phenomenon hit, of course. A hell lot of suckouts. But then I decided to stick around at one table where one huge fish sat that had taken about 20BBs off me with hitting 2pairs with dominated hands and gutshots etc. all the time. I told myself: this can't be true. You will play against that sucker now. The other players were too tight to be worth playing against. But then I started to deliberately play against this one player. Be in pots that he enters when I have some kind of hand, avoiding the other players. Value-betting him to death, tricking him, etc. And you know what? I won it all back and then some. Sure, there were a few re-suckouts from my part where he called the flop with crap and then hit his pair on the turn just to lose against my rivered 2pair. But that is just the topping of the cake. Why am I telling this? It was extremely rewarding to see a play and an adjustment work out and I plan on improving that in my NL game as well: singling one opponent out, avoiding all the wannabe-tags and then hopefully profiting. I know this is basic stuff. But when you are on the micro limits, you often adapt an attitude that you can beat everyone anyway or you forget about these things and try to get back at the better players. I hope I won't forget this lesson so soon.

Anyone here play at Wingows???

The site isn't PT compatable but it seems they have a decent bonus available through the ITH website. Not sure I trust these smaller sites.

Hm. I got 1.1K in my roll, but very much comes from rakeback and bonus etc. I still play 25NL. I have only logged a little bit more than 8k hands in 6max for a winrate of slightly more than 4/100 PTBB. So I'm not confident about my play really. But I don't want to waste time on a lower limit either when the play is basically the same on 25NL and 50NL. I play on party. So that's not a problem. Maybe someone who knows what kind of advice I give in hand discussions or has some other opinion about my play can give me a hint if I should move up or if I should play more 25NL. Thanks.

Take a 4 buy-in shot and post hands that trouble you. The play isn't that much different at 50nl.
