Wow, just two things:
1. Jeff seems like a huge jerk. 2. Teddy's mom seems hot. |

Teddy,
Why not ask PokerStars for their complete HH records for your mum? She surely has a right to them, given the circumstances. We should be able to get to the bottom of this if we had them. I could possibly write a parser to extract start/exit time for each table and see if we can find the 43 hours. |

[ QUOTE ] Number 2: You guys who are questioning Teddy's integrity are [censored] morons. If you have read any of his posts in the past or have even read this whole thread, its ridiculously obvious that he is truthfully telling us everything he knows about the situation. [/ QUOTE ] said the minions of ZJ. look how that turned out. [/ QUOTE ] Yep JJProd's Granny Teddy's Mom |

[/ QUOTE ] I did exactly that -- maybe my email directly to Lee Jones about this got lost somewhere in this huge thread, but that's precisely what I wrote: just find the 43 hours of HHs, and verify them in detail because if there IS a mistake (which I would stake my entire livelihood on), it lies therein. That IS the smoking gun. I spoke with my mom about this for an hour over the phone last night and went over all of the theories that people here have proposed about what might have happened from Trojans to 3rd party interlopers of which there are NONE -- it was humorous how some people seized upon my brother as a potential culprit...I just mentioned him in passing but he doesn't live with my parents and has nothing to do with this) and the ONE thing that we kept agreeing was "but that still doesn't explain the alleged 43 straight hours of play!!" which NEVER, and I mean, N-E-V-E-R happened. |

Seems to me that there's a war going on between the non-bot-users and the bot-users, and this thread is the battlefield.

Teddy,
OK sorry, missed that. Anyone distrusting you on this matter is pretty moronic IMO. Although after reading about the 43 hrs, I did have this image of your mother..... Like the mother in the film "Requiem for a Dream", high as a kite on prescribed amphetamines, gambling her pention away on a 43hour pokerstars bender. It was a breif, yet comical image |

I think the reason we haven't heard anything from Stars on the matter is because Teddy's mom isn't the one posting about it here, it's Teddy who is posting about it, and he's a 3rd party. Teddy, I wonder if you could get your mom to give them permission to post about her case on here?

Teddy an Mommy have done everything (and beyond) to convince me they are innocent here (at least of knowingly participating in wrongdoing). I suspected Teddy was honest by his responses and was convinced by his first email post (your mom is cleary quite bright). Josh sealed the deal. Pokerstars needs to pony up some HH to back up their claim. (Because nobody is feeling too good about Jeff deciding their fate right now.) Jeff is too confident to be half as smart as Teddy's mom. The smarter you are the more aware you are of your own ability to be wrong. (Of course that statement could be less than acurate.) [/ QUOTE ] Wow, wow, wow. I just received the full array of emails from my mom (there was more back and forth with Jeff, she just had not sent them to me) It was 3:30 in the morning when she forwarded them so I didn't have time to format and post them but I will later today. They are potentially crucial to this matter and a fascinating read -- the fans of this soap opera will rejoice. I will post them today. The reason by the way that I may have seemed reluctant to post Stars>mom>Stars emails is that (if Lee was actually giving my email to him, or my mom's emails to Stars actual consideration) I wanted to give them a chance to re-examine the 'evidence' and admit that a mistake was made. I didn't think posting the emails (which weren't even to me) did anything but call Stars' security procedures into question, and I'm certainly not looking to make any enemies...after all, I do want to allow Stars to save face here...it would be much easier for them to simply quietly re-open her account upon discovering their error...I didn't want to make them have to answer to an entire internet bulletin board community. That being said, after reading the emails and Jeff's refusal to reconsider this or even clarify/validate the "43 hours straight" thing, which it seems he would be able to do EASILY without compromising any of the bot-detection procedures that he employs, I am frustrated. From his emails he seems to be a very smart, competent and verbose young man, but one who as my mother put it "is not willing to question his own logic" on this one. a) By the way, her virus scan results came back and only showed some misc adware, but nothing that really concerned me about any malicious trojan or virus. Having read the tne entire email exchange, I will state for now that I am coming around to a firm belief that Jeff simply made an error in his 'bot detection procedure', whatever it may be. I think he misinterpreted some data from the log files that my mom sent him, and latched onto the theory that she was using a bot, and has simply been a little too stubborn to question that first conclusion of his, and has tried to 'save face'. b) If you're going to continue to follow this thread, I ask that you (if for no other reason than to humor me) suspend your disbelief, if you still have any. I am glad to see that it seems that most people have come around to believing my story, and I appreciate the votes of confidence, esp. from PAHUD Josh...can't get much more solid an endorsement than that. I know it's difficult to assess the character of a woman you have never met, but please believe me that I would stake my entire bankroll on her NOT using any kind of bot, which some people seem to still believe might be the case. Think of your own moms: moms, perhaps it is in their genetic code, are sometimes simply *not* capable of something -- it is not even within the realm of possibility: mine happens to be impossibly smart, inquisitive, with ethics beyond reproach (and hot, according to some of your assumptions). But she has no CLUE how to use a bot and simply would not even look into it -- this I know from having known her for over a quarter decade. c) My attitude in continuing to participate in this thread has shifted from i) incredulity that this could happen to the least culpable person I know, to ii) regret that I posted about it here at all because of the personal attacks I had to initially endure, to iii) vindication that people seem to actually believe me to some extent, to iv) some sense of injustice and anger with Jeff because of the emails that I have read, which steadfastly refuse to re-examine the issue. As I wrote above, I now strongly believe a Stars interpretive error is to blame. |
