Oswalt is one of those pitchers that can continuously win 20 games with a combination of luck and never being very dominant.

This is one of the most idiotic posts i've ever seen. If you don't think Oswalt is very dominant, you haven't watched many of his starts.

Aceishigh and I agree on something. I feel so dirty.

Well, at least Garner isn't as stupid as I thought. Oswalt had some "tightness" in his hamstring and that's why he was lifted for a pinch hitter.

yep...Oswalt had a hammy issue and his continued recent dominance of the Cards is a point of concern for me.
he was the decisive factor in last year's NLCS.

Carpenter misses another start tomorrow. Hopefully, this means a fresh arm later in the year.

The Cards pitching rebounded from a tough series at San Diego (weird place for that to happen) and continues to outperform my expectations.

BTW

bump because they took care of the Astros
nice to see Molina finally add something....the naysayers appear to be right about him so far
It might be sacreligious to say, but the team looks better without Edmonds
The bullpen is awesome again...I'm prepared to call Dave Duncan the best pitching coach ever.

The fact that Edmonds wasn't hitting was probably why they seem better without him. But this team can certainly absorb an injury to Edmonds or anyone else for that matter not named Albert Pujols....Encarnacion's bat finally came around, so hopefully when Edmonds gets back his bat will be a little more lively...

I wouldn't say that. They guy still is second on the team in RBIs even though he has missed a bunch of games.

Default Albert Pujols Injured

Albert left todays game after hearing and feeling a 'pop' in his rib cage. I hope it is not serious. With Pujols and Edmonds both on the dl the Cards would be in big trouble!

Thank you,

Jim Kuhn
