[/ QUOTE ] I am secretly relieved that multiplayering has been clearly identified as a non-ambiguous method of cheating. [/ QUOTE ] Come on Shaniac, Don't be secretly relieved. Be happily relieved , be thrilled even . The playing field is a bit more honest and fair today. Hopefully the poker sites will be able to stay several steps ahead of the cheaters from now on. Carl |

[ QUOTE ]
How many cheaters getting busted and losing thousands will it take until it becomes -EV for people to do due to risk. ~Justin [/ QUOTE ] Unfortunately it appears (with Party) that the chance of getting busted is 0 unless you get reported. Why didn't party stop them sooner? Aren't they supposed to have a system for monitoring this stuff? Another thing that bothers me greatly is how trigger-happy Party is getting seizing funds left and right. What if tomorrow Party decides to close accounts and keep the money of everyone using PokerTracker? |

[ QUOTE ]
Why do any of you really care? Are you all upstanding in your own lives? Have you ever cheated before? Have you ever made mistakes in your own life? Well guess what, even the best players in poker mess up, just like everyone else. If this was some joe schmoe who plays 11 dollar sit and go's who gets caught doing something like this, no one gives a flying [censored], but since it's a high profile player everyone is quick to grab the stake and wants to nail him to it. Even if this is true, which I think it very well is, who cares? What goes around comes around, cheater's might win today, but eventually they get caught. [/ QUOTE ] I think its part jealousy and part "wow, he's so succesful because he cheated, well lets crucify him". A lot if it is though that ZJ is pretty much a cocky douche. He never posts on here, and when he does he often talks down to people. It would be different if he was more of a solid guy. |

[ QUOTE ]
The people who are arguing that entering twice is by itself unethical are distracting from the issue. The ethics part of this debate is that one person can not fairly have two seats at one table. The result of this possibility is that Party has to make a rule banning multiaccounting. The debate shouldn't be about EV, adding money to the prize pool, or the fact that *most* of the time, multiaccounting is the equivalent is adding another independent player. If a multiaccounter never was at the same table with himself, there would not be a fundamentally unfair situation. Arguing that there is or focusing on this point at all allows the people defending the practice in general to focus their argument away from the real issue. [/ QUOTE ] you are incorrect sir!

What if tomorrow Party decides to close accounts and keep the money of everyone using PokerTracker? [/ QUOTE ] 1) PT management works exclusively with Party (and others) 2) Party knows all about PT and has deemed it legal 3) There is nothing in the T&C regarding PT; where as there is in regards to playing under 2 accounts. |

There was a hand in the Stars tourny he won a few weeks back. He put his whole stack at risk at the final table with KQ suited. I found it amazing, that he would risk all his chips, when he had a above average stack with KQ suited. He was up against a pair of threes and caught a Q on the turn. Wonder if he was both players?

Another thing that bothers me greatly is how trigger-happy Party is getting seizing funds left and right. What if tomorrow Party decides to close accounts and keep the money of everyone using PokerTracker? [/ QUOTE ] And what if they decide to seize the funds of everyone who has eaten at BK in the last 5 weeks? (Sorry my example isn't funnier). Seizing funds from people who explicitly agreed to certain T & C - knowing that their funds could be seized if they violated them - and then violated said T & C is not "trigger happy." It is a very mild punishment. |
