That is a good idea Vehn, but I shudder at having to explain it to people why I am all of a sudden not chopping. I know who the non choppers are, and for the most part, they are better than average. If possible, I stay away entirely, or get on their left.

And I do the same as HOWMANY, I chop 6+, and play at 5. I have convinced many fish at 5 handed to not chop, it is so +EV.

The Rake is tiny with Commerce's structure. People who complain are bad at poker. Somewhat strat related: for Commerce regulars, at one point do you guys not chop in terms of both limits and # of players. My default right now is that I chop down to 5 handed but I only play the 20.

Play 5 chop 6. I have no idea why I chop though.

Leaving for Commerce in a couple hours, hopefully I win a lot.

I chop but don't chop with the person on my right if the person on my left doesn't. This makes it +EV when you are to the right of a chopper and to the left of a non chopper.

I only do this when the seat is too good to move away from. I once had the Gus Hansen look alike on my immediate right and he never chopped which happened like 5-6 times that session. I took a majority of those pots and was my best lesson in seat selection I've ever learned.

Little things in life that make my life complete (Poker Edition):

1. Flopping sets.
2. Picking up monster hands when I post in the CO and it gets folded to me.
3. Thin value bets/value checks.

I outlasted everyone but HOWMANY.

Roll call tonight was:

Sailboats
Gabe
bugstud
HOWMANY
tessarji
me
Blair (I don't know his screen name since he just lurks mainly)
ShawnHoo

With all of us invading that joint like a virus, somehow we still (sometimes) manage to win money.

Every time I flopped a set tonight, I lost. The best was AA flopping top set in a 5-way 3-bet PF pot, and I folded the river getting 14:1.
