I need some help on heads-up etiquette,

I bust a short stack and a regular sits and posts right away, we play a couple of hands b/c I didn't notice the other guy stopped reloading. Then I sit out and he starts berating me.

shouldn't it be up to the guy who joins to ask? what about if you want to quit after about 10mins and there was nothing said at the start about how long to play for.

It was the end of a double shootout for a WSOP seat on stars. Me against someone AEJones knows who beat me down pretty hard. Although I will say I was the 2nd best at the final table!

meh, i usually don't play regs but if i do play them for a short period of time in sure as hell dont feel bad about sitting out, especially if its within 20bb either way.

even if i had just stacked them or something, maybe id play for 10 more minutes.

the bottom line is that you should obviously give other players the respect and courtesy that you would want, even though nobody will ever give it to you.

that being said, i really wouldnt worry at all what some clown reg thinks about it

there is no HU etiquette. that's my new opinion and it's making me a lot happier. if everyone had my new opinion, the world would be a happier place.
