- Definitely want to play CB 30/60 if I make it up to Minnesota at some point.

[/ QUOTE ]

there is currently a 300/600 game going at the bellagio. 3 of the 9 players are canterbury 30 players.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not sure if you are trying to say that the Bellagio 300/600 game is espeically juicy right now or if that means the CB 30/60 game can, at times, be pretty tough-ish.
I suspect the former but am not 100% on it.

Good service.

As comical as the rest of it is, this is the most absurd thing in this thread.

There were some very weak allegations of collusion at CP in '05 that have been referenced in this thread. Here is a thread where that was discussed at the time. It was easy to find because Schneids, who was majoring in journalism at the time, used the word "obsurd."

You wanted pictures. This article includes a picture and might help explain how he and bicyclekick, who had a piece of him, are able to play somewhat higher than $30/60 when they're on the road. Schneids is the one with his baseball cap on backwards.

I wish I was 15 pounds overweight.

"Thats uncalled for JoEyPeNeLoPe, the OP's ability to judge collusion is at question, not his ability to play."

I think you are totally wrong here. While it may be possible but unlikely that someone could play well but for some reason or another think collusion is rampant where it is not, it is impossible for a player who does not play well to accurately judge collusion in an aggressive game.

Inversely (I think), it should be obvious that somebody who starts this thread and goes against the word of somebody such as Schneids in this spot is very likely not very good at poker.

that was why i brought it up. I do see TT's point though and unfourtunately I don't remember any hands or anything to provide specific expamples all i can say is I've played 5-5nl and 20/40 BOT with OP and was less than impressed.

i agree. if one cannot comprehend the nuances of the game, it is not all unreasonable to assume that they will not be able to differentiate between what is collusion and what is typical play.

[/ QUOTE ]

Right. I guess all the colluders are expert players, since they wouldn't know how to do it without comprehending all of those nuances.

Ummm I dunno if you realize it or not but both BK and I were playing bigger than 100/200 long long before I won that tournament. It wasn't the tournament win that suddenly propelled us both into bigger games...

I have seen cheating many, many times in home games, raked underground games, at AJs, at Lucky Chances, at the WSOP, at the Bellagio -- and probably far more times when I didn't realize it. That includes card-peeping, best-handing, raise-signalling, flagrant card-marking, more subtle card-marking, repositioning to see others hole cards, signalled squeeze plays, chip placement signals, etc. I have never witnessed a cold deck being transferred into play. All this in spite of the fact that I am bad at paying attention to such things. It's obvious once you look for it.

Best thing that happened to my game in the past year was finally realizing who was thumbnailing the deck and watching him for a few games. He's not subtle, and yet he had several different techniques, all going mostly unnoticed.

Now I look.
