I don't want Pelfrey to turn into Ollie Perez and have a good outing then a bad outing. I hate inconsistency.

[/ QUOTE ]

I wouldn't worry about that. Pelfrey has been consistent his 3 starts this year...consistently bad.

WTF...now Sele. Game-set-match. Can they just get on the train to DC early now?

I guess, I just was impressed with spring training. Do they have another option though? I guess all this 15 out of 16 bs is catching up to the Mets. Well they took the first two at least.

This weekend should be more fun than today. BTW, I love having Seaver back in the booth even though its only for an inning. I loved it when he did the games back on channel 11 before the games went to SNY.

No other options really, nor do I want them to even think about demoting Pelfrey after only 3 starts. I'd like him to get as much work in with Peterson in the bigs the next couple of months as possible before they send him down whenever Pedro is ready. The downside to that is there will probably be a few more days like today.

With the exception of Helton and Holliday the rest of the Rockies lineup today is joke, I honestly can't believe they've put up 10 runs w/o the help of Mets errors.

Mike Pelfry and the long-man pitched, not that weird. I guess we need to get Chan Ho Park up.

Don't worry, it's unlikely Pelfrey will ever be as good as him.

Yeah, I just looked up some stats for New Orleans. Sosa has been excellent, coinciding with his K-rate (nearly one an inning). Vargas and Humber have been okay. Park has been downright awful. I think he thinks AAA = Home Run Derby, he's coughed up 6 homers in 26 innings.
