Nenn,

I envy you being able to see both of these for the first time.

Watched Grizzly Man last night. Herzog seemed to be going for some sympathetic angle but the longer the movie went on the less sympathy I felt for the guy. I believe 99%+ of the people in the world have some kind of issues (myself seriously included) but this guy was over the top in need of help.

I don't understand how he thought he was protecting the bears. Did he prevent anyone from killing bears? The ranger said they regularly cull 6% and there is litte if any poaching problem.

The Hills Have Eyes 2

Movie was so bad, it came out friday and should be on DVD for release tomorrow

300

Loved it for delivering exactly what it says it will, good battle scenes, cinemotography, death and dismemberment...I think people who dont like it went it expecting some great plot and acting when thats not what is what meant to be

I can't bring myself to watch this film now that I know the outcome. Do they play the tape of the final attack? Eww.

When you're watching this movie are you sitting there thinking wow this guy seems a little odd or is it apparent that he is flat-out insane? also, is his girlfriend in the movie?

It is revealed pretty early on that he dies.

There is only audio of the attack and it is not played but it is described.

He starts out odd and gets odder.

His gf is shown briefly 3 times. For his videos he pretends that he is out there alone. Another gf who obviously wasn't there is interviewed extensively.

Oh god. They play audio of the attack?

Curious, did the old girlfriend who wasn't out there realize the guy was crazy? Does she address his mental illness in the interviews?

No they don't play the audio. Herzog listens to it on headphones in front of the old gf and advises her to never listen to it but instead destroy the tape. The coroner (who seems a little whacko himself) extensively describes the audio and what happened during the last 5-10 minutes of their lives.

People close to Treadwell, including the old gf, mostly just thought he was a nice guy who was maybe a bit too naive.

They play the audio to somebody and they kind of describe it. They don't play the actual audio in the movie, they just show somebody who's listening to it on headphones.

I felt sympathy for the guy.
I also thought it had many funny and happy moments of the guy enjoying spending time with bears.
