Trying to find how the betting went on Rizen's hand, and I found this update on another site, cardplayer is the nuts compared to this

Eric Lynch has been eliminated from contention. He moved all-in with pocket tens and got a call from Jamie "The Killer" Gold with A-6. The board came 9-9-8-Q-Q, and with the queen on the river giving Gold two-pair with an Ace kicker, Lynch heads to the rail in 24th place with $494,797 - the best payday for a 24th place finish he'll ever see. Gold, meanwhile, is aiming squarely at the final table. His chip stack sits at $17,000,000.

Yes, we are... if the action really went that way, its a [carebear] stupid play.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think it's much more likely that the pre-flop action isn't being reported in full. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of these hands were blind/button hands, for example.

Trying to analyze these hands is pointless, because every player on 2+2 who has been covered by Cardplayer usually comes back later and says they butchered the hands. Why assume anything today is correct?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, i doubt it went that way too. Maybe Forced raised to ~200k, then the AJ guy reraised all in, since the pot had ~300k and he had 1.300k and thought Forced was just stealing

Man, this is becoming even more of a donkfest than it was before. Some of these plays with big Ms are just horrendous.

The people who played safe have already been blinded off.

[/ QUOTE ]

I doubt it. I don't remember seeing many of the names remaining getting involved in stack risking plays with marginal hands. Cunningham comes to mind right away.

To all you guys hating on Jamie Gold:

I went to college with him. He is an all right guy. Fits the mold of a hollywood producer, a little too slick to really like him.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sounds kinda like you're hating on him.

And I don't think we're so much hating on him as we're kind of perplexed by him.

There is a big difference between playing safe and not donking off all your chips with crappy hands with Ms over 20.

Jamie Gold Rakes Another Big Pot
Jamie Gold raises to $200,000 from middle position and Prahlad Friedman calls. The flop comes the 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] , Gold bets $300,000 and Friedman calls. The turn is the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and both players check. The river is the 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and Gold fires $750,000. After several minutes, Friedman mucks his hand and Gold shows the K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] .
