Def check with pos, without a read that this guy would call with a donk river pair. It happens alot more in cash games then in tourneys IMO.

To be honest, I ran break even for almost 30k hands at 10nl prior to going on a tear. I'd never really played poker prior to January when I started with $50 on Stars. The biggest thing? Get on here, post big hands that you had trouble with, post responses to hands others put up.

I really improved when I started actually verbally committing myself to my reads. Actually saying out loud what kinds of hands I put the villain on. Otherwise you don't hold yourself to your reads, which is bad...you need to develop your ability to read hands and TRUST YOURSELF. There is absolutely a learning curve to this game, and things have only just recently really starting clicking for me. Good luck.
