I have a theory about this. With both cash games and stt's, there's always an alternative close by. There's usually another cash game table available, and another stt starting in 30 seconds. However, this isn't the case with MTT's. Some run only once a week(or less?). In this case, the sites come to a dilemma if 2 or more people living in the same house want to play the same big tournament. There is no alternative. They have to wait a week to play the next one. So do the sites tell them no they can't do it, or hope somebody doesn't find a way to take advantage of this loophole?

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] You guys never considered that this could lead to cheating? You didnt think to create a thread on 2+2 and not allow it to die until Party did something to fix this flaw in their software? I read 2+2 daily and Ive never heard about this trick before until now. BTW, why do have multiple Party accounts? [/ QUOTE ] I have one account. My wife has one account. (No, we have never played poker at the same time before). So, I could login as myself, as my wife and just as guest/observer for the others. You can open four tables if your just a guest/observer. So, if I got 6 clients open, that's 10+10+4+4+4+4=36 tables. You could not login under one username on mulitple clients. It behaved the same as if you logged in from a different computer. [/ QUOTE ] But ZJ is playing with all accounts. Your wife is just an observer? Would it allow your wife and you to sit at the same table? Naturally, I assume you would try to see whether other people could be cheating you so easily. [/ QUOTE ] You could not sit at the same table in cash games of Sit N Gos, just like in the old days you could not sit with yourself when logged in on Party and Empire at the same time. It recognizes that you have the same IP and won't allow you to play together. This IP restriction has never been in place for MTTs. So, you could enter the same tournament. Yes, it would make it very easy to cheat at tourneys in this way. [/ QUOTE ] NICE WORK TOURNEY DONKIES GOD ONLY KNOWS HOW MUCH HAS BEEN CHEATED FROM YOU. [/ QUOTE ] This is a rumour but I wouldnt be surprised if it was true: I heard the 2 table 5k SNGS (the step 5s) were also massively cheated using the multiaccount trick. Marnix |

At least not at Single table SNGs or at cash games. When I heard about the trick to open multiple clients, i think it was in the context of being able to play more tables than the 4 party capped their players at. Obviously, ZJ wasnt advertising it on his Poker Blog. You guys have been cheated badly though. If it was this easy, then its an absolute certainty. |

Here is a funny thread from two years ago where some dude finds it funny that ZeeJustin is playing at Party and Empire at the same time. He then talks about how it would freak him out if someone could play at the same table with more than one account. Pretty hilarious given the recent events that have unfolded. I wonder if ZJ was doing it way back then. CLICK ME Scroll down towards the bottom for the conversation. [/ QUOTE ] I never played at any party skins - were you able to play multiple players at the same table if you had a Party skin account and a Party account? |

[/ QUOTE ] No. This still applied: [ QUOTE ] accounts that are linked to each other one way or the other (through interaccount transfer, having logged in from the same computer, using the same IP adress) can not play at the same tables. [/ QUOTE ] Dear multi-accounters, Why dont you guys just go ahead and ruin online poker for everybody. I have heard enough unfounded rumors about online poker sitting in card rooms, and now you are going to give them some tangible proof. Thanks. |

[/ QUOTE ] If i remember correctly, I heard about it on an IRC poker channel (one that ZJ used to fequent too) when the skins split from party. People were worried that you couldnt massively multitable party games anymore (>4 tables open). Someone mentioned the trick, but it was consider obsolete inmediately as party had pushed their cap to 10 games when they split from the skins. I tried it, it worked, but thought it would be pretty stupid and risky thing to open multiple clients on your PC to circumvent a Party enforced cap. I then forgot about it because i never considered the MTT cheat and I never needed to think of using it as the cap had been set at 10 tables. |

1) ZJ updates his blog with My Statement II
He'd be an idiot to update his blog with another statement. He's already an idiot for coming out and admitting he cheated. It's terrible he did it in such a whiny fashion, because if you're gonna hang yourself, at least do it with a little dignity and apologize for what you did. But coming out and admitting what he did was suicide. A second statement just digs him deeper. He should have a lawyer telling him these things... - C - |
