I wish people would take others comments literally. The statement "This kind of enthusiasm is concerning" does not show empathy for ZJ. One does not have to be ecstatic and partying in the street to feel that the right thing was done.

I don't know what the rest of MicroBobs comments were, but you take one sentence, and then criticize the poster for something they didn't say, but that you simply implied.

Too many posters here are taking sentences and twisting around the meanings to fit their own agenda. If MB posted something else that you meant to respond to then fine, but the one comment you quoted was not addressed at all in your response. Things would really go better if you looked at the exact sentence/quote that you are responding to and determined what it meant exactly, not what you believe or feel the poster meant to say.

Spare me. I've taken not one shot at you the entire thread, so I don't know what your beef is. MicroBob's concern about how people are reacting not only is empathatic towards ZJ, it, along with his other reactions to the situation, show me a clear lack of understanding regarding the serious nature of what's going on. You can disagree all you want, but kindly don't pontificate to me that I'm taking things out of context or that I'm not aware of what's being discussed. Just because I only choose to quote one line doesn't mean that's all I am responding to or that I'm not aware of the context. Thanks.

I haven't seen his other reactions, I just saw your quote. I don't know you nor do I have a beef with you. I do know that MicroBob even insinuated that it seemed as though it I may be a co-conspirator with ZJ, based simply on my name being mentioned in ZJ's post, thus I have no exceptional reason to defend him.

All I know is I see a personal attack that is backed up by one quote, that is not being addressed by the attack. I have had my meanings and words misconstrued and my sentences twisted many times during this thread and it has been quite annoying.

In any case I suspect that Microbob is not really very empathetic to ZeeJustin. Just because he doesn't want him labeled a cheater on 2+2 doesn't mean hes empathetic towards ZJ. It probably just means that he doesn't think the 2+2 moderators should have that kind of control.

I wish this thread would just die so we can all get back to poker. The Moderators should move it after some finite amount of time.

I've learned several things:

Cheating is widespread. There are many posts that claim this.

Most players ignore it, and accept it. The typical response is that cheating is always there... so what.

Many players know of cheats, such as Shaniac, and Curtains, and other 2+2 posters in this thread. While they may have reconciled this with their own belief system, they clearly have no integrity. That's fine too.

Pokerstars has sent a clear message that the penalty for cheating is likely to be small. They are mirroring the players attitudes.

Party Poker has taken a much stronger position, but there discovery methods are also severely lacking.

These issues will not be solved in a courtroom, they will never be classified as crimes, and it will always be easy to cheat. Ultimately we must all decide how much cheating we will tolerate, and from whom.

I'm afraid I must disagree with some of the things you are saying.

I am disgusted by the "holier-than-thou" attitude that some (not all) people are taking. No one is perfect, and I would imagine that most of these people that are "parading in the streets" have their own skeletons in the closet. (That's not to say that i think they are cheating at poker, but it's reasonable to assume that somewhere in their life they have done "something" wrong.) Their sentiments reek of hypocrisy to me. It is possible to be satisfied with the outcome of this without the need for personal attacks.

Additionally, there have been many claims made that "lots" of players have cheated in the same manner as ZeeJustin and JJProdigy. In that regard, I do feel sorry for them as human beings because they have been singled out seemingly at random. It seems quite unreasonable for so much hatred to be directed towards them for particpating in a practice that alledgedly involves dozens of 2+2ers. These two players have been scapegoated.

It's not unfair that they were caught and punished... the injustice lies in the fact that others are getting away with the exact same thing.
