Another win for the glorious Buffalo Sabres!!! Horrible penalty by Teppo at the end of the 3rd, but I still think that this was the sabres best all around game tonight. Personally I am pleasantly surprised by Pyatt's play the last couple games, he has done a good job. Max clearly the best guy on the ice tonight. The best way to end it would be against Hasek tomorrow night.

I'm not saying the series is over or anything, but.... bring on the tropical depressions, [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

Yep, best game of the series, which is why I thought they'd lose because that's how hockey works usually. I was just reading your post in the linked predictions thread about Emery needing to melt down and Miller needing to steal a game for us to win - check, check [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
Pyatt has been fantastic. Max still drives me nuts sometimes and he fanned on a couple shots tonight but whatever, huge goal. I thought we kinda got jobbed on some calls for the 2nd straight game but it's nice not feeling compelled to bitch about it too much after a win.

Man, I feel so good for upstate NY, wish I was back up there.

Awesome - I kinda regret that we ever changed the title of this thread from "Stanley Cup" something or other. It's not like being cautious and humble and pessimistic has ever brought my favorite teams any luck so we may as well just act like cocky a-holes like Cowboys/Lakers/Patriots fans and get rewarded with like 100 championships.

They are a bunch of queers. I was at an '01 game where bogus officiating gave them a game against a terrible 3-13 Bills team in Greg Willaims' rookie year. Without that they don't even play Oakland in the snow after a 1st round bye. And who needs a made up rule to beat a California team in the snow anyway? Bills beat 'em 51-3 in January when they were good. To think that propelled them to 3 titles is just a joke and proves there is no justice in sports. On the plus side Nate Clements did take Brady's head off that game.

I'm going to game 4, can't wait. Didn't think there was going to be much chance of getting to see a series clinching win, this is awesome.

I was at the game last night and the place was electric! We got there early and carried an 18 pack of beer in the box to the front of the arena and stood out front drinking and listening to the bands they had playing. About 630 we headed in and the place was crazy from the pregame until Dumont scored 505 into OT and even into the parking lots! I was at game 6 in the Cup Finals in 99 and I think the place was louder yesterday than that game.

I think the series ends tonight (which I will be at again). Ottawa just looks like a beaten team with no answers.

I was at the last sweep clincher at home for the sabres.... and I believe it was against the... guess who... ottawa senators. And yes there were plenty of brooms thrown onto the ice... quite a sight to see! I will not say anything more
