Well, thanks for sharing some info. with me, Bryan.
I would really REALLY be interested in playing (or Propping) at a site where I could get 100% RB WITHOUT have to keep in constant communication with a "Prop Manager" via Yahoo Messenger AND/OR have to leave a profitable table I am sitting at because "I am no longer needed there." I also understand the need for the prop sites not to openly advertise their 100% RB, etc. Perhaps I'm a little frustrated that I haven't found any good 100% RB deals (prop or otherwise). So, unless you guys with the great 100%-150% RB offers for sites "without restrictions" want to PM me with your deal that beats this WSEX..., then I am going to immediately deposit and play almost EXCLUSIVELY there. The Bottom Line is is that there is simply NO REASON to play at ANY OTHER POKER SITE other than one that has ZERO rake. With 100% Rake-back, you can be a break-even player and get rich just from playing your break-even style. The Rake is what makes Party and Stars and all the other sites $rich$ - the rake is that powerful. Playing without rake changes the whole game altogether. So much money is still on the tables to be played with and passed back and forth among the players! This is really exciting! |

I'm starting to question the motives of many posters on this board. When an established site with 1000+ players turns off the rake, we get dozens of posters who have never even played the site giving their negative opinions about it. Just STFU and let the site be. You don't have to participate in a rake free site. But why try to spin it as a negative when it isn't? [/ QUOTE ] amen. just loaded another 2500$ after losing 4/5 my first deposit. bring on the bots shills rocks and 2+2ers. "Remember if its rake free, it can't be negative EV"*** ***if you play perfect poker |

I disagree. They will not abandon the thing that drew the players there in the first place. It's not expensive to run a poker room, and the collateral traffic will cover whatever costs, even if you assume a low percentage of crossover money. This is not a new site, it's not going anywhere.

I think you are dead wrong. Do you see how often even 2+2ers play Party Blackjack? If they can generate traffic, they'll figure out the rest.

This is not going to work at all for WSEX. I see what MircroBob is trying to say, but you are forgetting that Sports Bettors now are going to lose some of the money that they would have bet on Sports at the Poker table. To the bettor, he loses $100 either way, but to WSEX, if he was betting on sports he WSEX is up $100 -- now all the 2+2ers are up $100. Realistically, this cannot be permanent. It's a very poor business decision. Think of it as promotional. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think this is really going to be a big change for the sports bettors. I've got a friend who has played on WSEX for about 5 years. He's a casual player, but this is the only site that he plays after trying them all (more than me, even). This might be the only site that I know of that has games softer than Party. The only reason that I don't play this as my main site is simply because of the number of players and tables. In the past, this site was mainly a site for the sports bettors to play poker when they got bored, won some extra coin, or got drunk. But, there were always a few good players waiting to relieve them of their money. This was probably the fishiest poker site ever. WSEX = Drunken Casino Donk Fest. |

Yes. I see this as a danger too and I'm not really sure which way it will go. Just viewing the 'half-full' possibility of all this.
Perhaps one key will be how many non 2+2'ers they are able to attract with this. But even if it's just 2+2'ers I'm still not convinced it will be all bad for them. How much action were they getting at their poker-tables before? If the answer is 'almost zilch' then they really have nothing to lose. If their player base goes up by 5x or more then there is a reasonable chance they will be bringing in more sports-betting action then what they would have made in their smaller poker-room The idea that the bad players will be giving their money away to poker players instead of to the site-operators does hold some merit though. |

Anyone has any suggestion on what to do to assist in attracting players? [/ QUOTE ] How about anytime you hear someone give the "River Stars" or <insert derogatory site name> comment to respond with this: "I hear ya man, I know of a new poker site that is giving back 100% the rake that we pay, paid out weekly" Then point them appropriately until your chat is disabled. Even the worst players understand that money is taken out of the pot whether or not they understand the impact it has. This could be huge if they can get the traffic. There is no doubt that many will spill over to the sport book as intended. And vice-versa. |

I think spamming to other players in chat-boxes is just a slimy/stupid thing to do.
And to do so in efforts to promote a site that happens to be rake-free doesn't change my opinion on this. |

well, how do you show the average player how neat it is, and how much they are "giving back" if they don't give it back? I gave a ligitamite reason for why an honest site would collect the rake then give it back. How the hell do you take that as a "negative opinion" and then attack me. If english isn't your primary language then maybe I understand, otherwise your reading comprehention sucks as bad as my spelling. Be a man and appologize so I can stop being pissed at you. |
