Playing 2 accounts in the same single table tournament would be an enormous advantage. Absolutely giant. I don't think playing 2 accounts in the same MTT makes much difference at all unless both accounts end up at the same table near the end of the tourney.

I'll be the first to admit it if I'm wrong, but I would MUCH rather have single-entries in ten STTs than double entries in 5. (I think, at least.) It's just that dumping in a SnG doesn't double your prize EV. Or am I completely missing the point?

[/ QUOTE ]

The real advantage wouldn't be from dumping -- it would be from getting down to 5 handed and having both your accounts still alive (which would be something you could do fairly regularly with conservative early play). You would be able to get both of your accounts ITM fairly often.

Also, having multiple accounts playing when you are near or in the money is a huge advantage.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yep. Taking a coinflip with one account isn't nearly as scary a proposition when you have even one more account in contention.

[/ QUOTE ]

If I have any clue what is going on here, then this isn't the reason that multiple accounts are pos EV. Right?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not sure, but I was responding to Boris in regards to MTT's. My post has nothing to with whether or not it is +EV in SNG's. That's a whole other discussion.

[/ QUOTE ]

I meant my post to be related to MTTs

Even if all the funds were not obtained by violating the terms and conditions, those funds were at some point used to obtain funds in violation of the terms and conditions. This in itself would be enough to confiscate the funds. However, the provision in the terms and conditions is explicit and allows for this. The kids should be happy they are not going to prison. I haven't read the federal wire fraud statute in about a year but it might apply here.

I play poker for a living. Sorry if I care about the integrity of the games I play in.

I've been 3 handed with him in $1k sng's many times, and even tho we communicate on Instant Messenger, NEVER has he suggested any foul play (if anything that would be a convenient time no?)

My question is:

After the JJProdigy incident, how could you be stupid enough to leave money in multiple accounts? Or even leave multiple accounts open?

[/ QUOTE ]

Stupid teenagers with tons of cash, gee, I can't imagine what they were thinking...they usually never make a bad decision.
