Ive been thinking about moving over and playing some tables on FTP. Ive heard its softer than stars and after taking a brief look at some tables it looks that way. Can anyone confirm/deny

Edit: forgot to to add ill be playing 1/2

I find them about the same on both sites. The bigger thing is I assume you're at a VIP level on Stars that'd make it a pay cut even if you did get rakeback on FTP?

I once read a quote, possibly on this site, which roughly went as follows:

"No matter how bad a run you think it is possible to go on in poker, you will one day go on even worse a run".

What scares me is that the following is possible, which means I will one day run worse:

Yea Im supernova on stars, I was just thinking of adding a few tables from full tilt and seeing how they were. I was looking through the 1/2 games and they seemed to have a lot higher avg pot sizes and lots more people with medium stacks so it looked a little more donkish than stars but I dunno.

I did try to play between the site last months. I start both sites @ the sametime 4 tables on each site. this is the result from both site.
P stars 32k +230.... I was comeback from -750 the 1st 2 days of may. ( I did get some bonus and plat point.)
PTF 26k +1980 .... less games play b/c of slower software. ( Also + 520 in rb)
I play 100NL. It's only 1 month but I do think that FTP win bigger pot when I made my hands.

My goal will be play 1/2 again this month stars to keep my VIP which I don't want to lose and wait to see what happen to FTP this month.

Grandmelon sorry to see you down this month. I suggest you might stay away from cash game play all the small MTT or SNG if you feel like playing then comeback again hopw thing will turn around.
GL.

I'm making a run at my worse day eva. I'm down 6 BIs, the worst is 8.

Main- it was wierd when you posted that hand where you flopped quads against your opponent's boat. I played a hand almost exactly like that today, but it was 66 and 22. And I had the boat of course.

When I played FTP a month or so ago I didn't play much if any $200NL, just $100NL and $50NL. I found it much more weak-tightish than Stars. Very, very few big or even medium size pots but very straight-foreward play. If you can handle playing hours and hours of small ball I'm sure FTP can be profitable but expect to be taking stacks just about never.

When I used to play FTP there was a ridiculous amount of action pots. Value betting was really difficult because, nuts vs 2nd nuts were very standard hands. Probably daily Id see hands like AA vs KK vs AK vs QQ or JJ.
