you guys who go to Shea regularly can vouch for this... Endy Chavez gets just as much applause as Wright, Beltran, etc when he comes into a game. "legend" is not too far off at this point, the guy has a knack for showing up HUGE when all hope seems to be lost

I was gleefully shocked when SNY showed Helton playing further back than he was for Reyes. Can't imagine why the Rockies thought a bunt from Chavez was any less likely.
BTW, anyone know whether or not the guy who fell on the field for the foul ball was ejected? |

I wasn't there last night, but during his first AB -- before he had even done anything -- you could clearly hear the chants of "EN-DY CHA-VEZ!" echoing through the stands. (And he'll probably get a nice hand as an opponent as well when that day comes.) |
