Once I had enough chips to ensure my seat, I stopping playing hands. When we needed only one person out, I did make a call with A3O in BB again SB. It was not something I would do in a tournament, but since I already had my seat and we only needed ONE person out, I took the chance against his obvious pocket pair that my ace might catch and we could all go to dinner/bed. And by the way idiot ~ he was extremely short stacked. I doubled him up and still was more thank okay with chips.

Well everyone has been too busy talking about Bluffthis to notice this but seriously Brandi this post shows you suck at poker. Seriously for your own good stop playing because you obviously are not good enough to play poker for a living.

BTW in terms of the actual story obviously it is awful but IMO there is a good chance that Brandi's story is not entirely truthful. Also while I obviously feel bad for Brandi this situation was could have easily been avoided with better judgment by Brandi, hopefully for it is a lesson that you will only need to learn once.

edit: When I said stop playing I meant professionally, still play as a hobby but get a real job and don't play as a pro.

Brandi I think your best bet to continue poker is to try to build up a $1000 stake and then take it to the $50NL tables online. You can make pretty decent money playing this level if you are even a remotely decent player. You should be able to move up the ranks fairly quickly and once you get to NL200 you can grind out a decent amount of money if you put in the hours. From there I'd take shots at the online tourneys. Are you a winner in the bigger live events? Who knows but you definitely don't have enough money, experience, etc to be playing them regularly imo.

It's very easy for a single person to live off 100 or 200NL. And if you want to continue down the poker road that's where I'd set my goals for now if I was you.

Also for people harping on her play in the sat. A lot of players make tonnes of mistakes in satellites. A lot of the plays at the end are counter intuitive and are night and day between a regular satellite and a normal tourney.

Keep in mind that I didn't pay much attention to her actual plays or analyzed them in any way, but a lot of decent tourney players make some pretty big mistakes in satellite tournaments, especially ones that are new to playing them.

Brandi,

I had a very unpleasant run in with you playing 2/5 at the MGM during the WSOP. I straddled from UTG and found aces. You raised my straddle to steal and I reraised 150. And continuation bet the flop. Then you started screaming at me that I was an [censored] and that you were in debt.. etc... At the time everyone at the table was shocked and silent. After you left everyone agreed that you were nuts and that I shouldn't feel bad for making you cry by playing my hand. Of course I still did.

From that little experience with you, this is what I think.

-You are obviously too mentally unstable to be playing poker, let alone for a living. you should know this about yourself and focus your energy on a profession that is less mental taxing.

-You have self-destructive tendencies. You get yourself in situations where the only possible outcome is you getting hurt. Stripping, Touring with scum bags on the WPT, playing 2/5 when broke, and even posting on here. All you are going to get is 18 year old kids laughing at you.

-I actually believe your story. I wouldn't put it passed an old scum bag poker player to try to manipulate you into sleeping with him.

-You need to focus on things that are good for you, or at least not bad. You are good looking girl and you write well. Start there.

Good Luck.

This thread is amazing.
Brandi story is most likely true with a few exagerations.
Why hasnt anyone said anything to the guy who created the gimmick account?? I feel sorry for him because he has no compassion at all.
Anyway I find it hard to believe that Brandi didnt realized that Tom wasnt expecting some kinda sexual favour. Brandi is a bit slutty for sure, but she is still a human being and that doesnt justify in any way what Tom did.( And I certainly believe Tom made a pass on Brandi, perhaps not his dick on her body but he certainly made a pass on her)

Bluff there is nothing wrong with using youre body to make money, ure just mad because ure probably an old and ugly man and not a young and sexy girl like Brandi.
I will use a better analogy to descirbe what happened here.
Suppose you are walking, on ure own, on a dangerous neighbourhood at midnight and u get robbed. You are still the victim in that case, however you could have avoided it by simply not walking on a dangerous neighbourhood at midnight on ure own.
Bluff do you think that what Brandi did is morally wrong? Or is just a stupid mistake? I think its just a stupid mistake, if u think that Brandi has done something morally wrong then u have a lot of ethics to explain to me.
