[ QUOTE ]
A Jeff Kanow, who survived the first round for round play with $100 was just all-in for his last chip. On the hand there was a raise to $4,000 with 4 callers. The flop comes AdiamondQheart10diamond, seat 2 pushes all-in for $76,000 and is called by seat 6. Seat 2 has Aclub10spade for two pair, while Seat 6 flips over KspadeJspade for the straight 10-A. Kanow hasn't looked at his hand yet and when he does turns over AheartQspade for top two. The turn is the 3spade and the river is the 5club, Kanow and seat 2 are eliminated. Kanow said that the hand was only the 2nd flop he's seen in the over 5 hours of play today. [/ QUOTE ] Which play is worse: Seeing 2 flops in 5 hours to be blinded off(he starting with 29,600), or the seat 2 guy pushing for 76K on the bubble with 2 pair? |

[ QUOTE ]
I don't remember them ever quitting early last year. I distinctly remember on the 3rd(?) to last day that the TDs announced they were going to play another level and were greeted with boos from the whole room of tired players. Didn't they play down to 18 on the second to last day in 2005 when the plan was to only play down to 27? [/ QUOTE ] The last 27 went on to Binion's last year. |

"The Only Hand I Would've Called With" Action is folded around to Mike Sullivan in the small blind, who raises to $30,000. His opponent in the big blind makes the call putting himself all-in. After flipping over pocket Aces he says it was the only hand he was going to call with since the bubble is still looming. Sullivan shows pocket 6's. The flop comes Adiamond6club5heart to give both players a set. The turn brings the case 6 to give Sullivan quads. The river is a meaningless 7 and Sullivan takes down the pot and eliminates the short stacked player. He is now at $180,000. That should be the bubble. Looks like the $100 man will get at least 1/3 of the bubble payout. |
