[ QUOTE ] I don't want one person killed or 100 person killed or 50 persons killed. But I'd rather make a deal and try to bring the whole thing to an acceptable end by making a deal with the guy "who kills 100 persons" rather than the one who "kills 500". [/ QUOTE ] When you choose "the lesser of two evils", you have still chosen evil. [/ QUOTE ]True enough. But one evil is smaller than the other. If we were to go by your viewpoint, we should always be going for the maximum evil possible ourselves. |

Israeli polls show 80% support attack on Lebanon/Hezbollah... [/ QUOTE ] Shocking news. Did you see the poll about supporting the Israeli govt on the Arutz Sheva website today. More shocks await you. |

[/ QUOTE ] Since you mention missiles can somebody tell me what Hezbollah is doing with missiles? Israel left Lebanon years ago, the UN certified that Israel no longer occupies an inch of Lebanese soil (go on somebody, mention Shaaba Farms), Hezbollah is not the government of Lebanon and I heard a news report that said Hezbollah had 12,000 missiles when this all started. 12,000! What does Hezbollah need 12,000 missiles for assuming that they need any? |

[/ QUOTE ] fwiw, hezbollah has fired roughly 1,000 rockets into Israel this past week... and Israel has destroyed roughly 3-4,000... The missiles described in the quoted text are the much longer longer range missiles from Iran/Syria that are capable of reaching Tel Aviv. |

fwiw, hezbollah has fired roughly 1,000 rockets into Israel this past week... and Israel has destroyed roughly 3-4,000... [/ QUOTE ] Hezbollah has fired more like 700 rockets in the last week. Here's one source. Type "700 rockets" into google for a whole load more sources. Of course, 700 is pretty damn bad, and quite enough for me to understand fully why Israeli civillians support their governments actions in this matter. Do you have a source for the 3-4000 rockets destroyed? I've not heard that number anywhere. |
