I'm at a table with a guy who is 72/54 over 150+ hands. About as aggro of a maniac as there is. Here is just a sample of the madness going on:

No, they're not "that bad". However with my 'experience' i should not be making stupid plays like i have done. I'm very strict, i could chalk alot these down to varience "set over set ah well". However, its not the case(well, the JJ vs 98 one is lol). Hand 3 for example - Horrible turn play. could of saved alot, these are the hands that make the difference between a big winner/great player and an average player IMO. I played below average, however - I will learn, i'm now going to play focused or not at all. Thats the rule, see how tonight goes. (well...3am onwards). [/ QUOTE ] NL Newbie - I don't really get why you think hand 3 was horrible - surly you are only behind 2 very unlikely hands - 77 and 56s - KK would likely re-raise PF - please could you explain what you did wrong in this hand and explain how it should be played... - apart from betting flop... Thanks |

apoligies for the OT but i just posted this in the computer forum and thought i might put it here in case any of u guys are good with computers. thanx
- installed new video card but not working ?? [ QUOTE ] new video card - Radeon 9600pro AGP8x 256mb DDR on Asus p4p800-vm motherboard (bout 3/4 yrs old) computer is P4 3gig 512 ram have been running intergrated video card - intel extreme graphics 2 or something like that and it uses the: intel 82865G graphics controller driver. so ive disabled the integrated driver, turned off the computer, installed the new video in the AGP slot, turned it back on and it gives no picture on the monitor. Ive tried and retried this a number of times with no success. The LED light just blinks?? when i turn it off and take out the new card works fine as has done for yrs. Why wont it take the new card not sure what to do in BIOS the adaptor pritority is set (AGP / Int VGA), should this be (AGP / PCI) should i change anything else in the BIOS? do i need to connect something to the AGP slot or new card inside the box? is it just that this card is not compatible to my computer as im starting to think this si the problem even though it does appear to suit would really appreciate some help thanx [/ QUOTE ] |

Therefore way to maximise my cash is to call here, and raise if i boat up or just lead out. of course i still lose to big sets, but straight and Kx pays me off. Chances are it's not picking up the card in Bios, I'd play with that a little more. I had the same thing and a quick change in the bios fixed it. I'm not at that computer so I don't remember exactly what I changed
