Well, its about time the Mets take the bull by the horns and win at Turner field.
BTW, sorry for being such a prick yesterday, dealing with friends/way way to much alcohol made for some stupid remarks. |

[ QUOTE ] this thread does a great job of reinforcing most peoples' views of Mets fans: cry babies, sore losers, and loud mouths. [/ QUOTE ] I really thought met fans were better than yankee fans. As pissed as I am about the last 5 games, I'm really dissapointed by the fan base [/ QUOTE ] Overall they are but after hearing it week from [censored] Philly fans it starts to get to you no matter who you are. Funny thing with all of the [censored] that has been said I haven't met one Philly fan that is able to make a bet that their team will win the east. [ QUOTE ] BTW, sorry for being such a prick yesterday, dealing with friends/way way to much alcohol made for some stupid remarks. [/ QUOTE ] If it was like me it was a Philly fan. |

wow, i thought for sure maine would implode in the 6th in his characteristic inning where he gets blown up, but he hung in there and got through that jam...needless to say, a huge win and even though the phillies won, we can't worry about them

beat: El Duque back to NY for evaluation on an ankle injury. doesn't sound serious at the moment, maybe only 1 start missed, but still cause for concern
brag: Pedro might be the replacement starter for Monday beat: yesterday I purchased tix to Pedro's anticipated start in Brooklyn on Monday |

Also,
[ QUOTE ] The return of Cole Hamels to the Philadelphia Phillies' rotation has been postponed at least a week. The All-Star left-hander was scratched from his scheduled start Sunday at Florida when he felt elbow discomfort during a bullpen session. He has been on the disabled list because of a strained elbow since Aug. 22, and his most recent game was Aug. 16. Hamels won't throw for six days, and it might be two weeks before he rejoins the rotation, he said Friday. "I'd like to make the sure the discomfort I feel is at a minimum," Hamels said. "If I didn't do anything for a month, I'd be healed, but we've got to play. It's something that's never going to fully heal until the offseason. So it's just a matter of trying to go out there." -CBSSportsline [/ QUOTE ] |

What's up with the Mets starting someone that is 0-8??? Aren't they in a playoff race or something? I could understand if he was like 0-3 and you wanted to give him another chance, but wouldn't you be better off with someone from the minors?
And also, I'm glad to see that "niss" is a Met's fan. |
